AS220 is good. I've got a friend who's in the know about good Providence venues for electronic music, so I'll check in with him.

what were you thinking like a website for people to post shows on or are you gonna organize them

It might be as simple as organizing a Facebook page or something. People could offer to set up shows or get-togethers.

Hallo! I have been talking to myself for a while now about wrangling together people from RI/MA/CT/NJ into some vaguely organized collective for the sake of chipbusking and/or show-doing. I'm from Rhode Island and there's hardly any cohesion, even with neighbors like MA, which offers a moderately sized chip-scene. Anyway, anyone interested?

An elephant was shot on a bridge here once.

I'm from Providence. I saw two guys run at eachother from opposite sides of the street, meet in the road and knife eachother. It was...confusing.

You know, to make it big in cheapchoon, you gotta do unoriginal, uninspired work like covers. So get cracking.

Wrote a cover of TMBG's "Hearing Aid" the other day. amidoinitrite?

it just means a barage of emails, tweets and co-workers tapping you on the sholder cause you're "that video game music guy" to tell you about this awesome 8-bit cover album. Yawn.

This happened to me with this very cover album -- the Kid A one. A friend of mine who knew nothing outside of, "oh he makes music that's on a Gameboy" sent me it excitedly, and with a sort of an air that said, "This is basically what you do, right?"

At home, there's nobody who actually does shows, but there are tiny murmurs. At college, it's very slightly larger than that. Saw a show in an off-campus basement, and one of the bands was doin' some Narwhalz type shit.

Noticed that a song of mine no longer finishes playing on the site. At one point around the end, it just stops and closes as though the file had been played back all the way through.

I am thinking about releasing my Album on cassette and I have a dual cassette deck with dubbing capabilities. Just wondering if it is worth it, and where i can buy Bulk tapes WITH cases, it seems as if i can only find bulk without cases and i want to print out album art with them. Anyone have any opinions on this?

I've considered this, as well, hipster as it is. I can say off the top of my head, Salvation Army tends to have shit-tons of blank cassettes in cases. There's one near my house that's even got shitloads of them stockpiled, still in the plastic wrap.

Have had two bands thus far that use LSDJ. Keep up or fall apart seems to be the ground rule for all of these bands. Although my current band is so fucking noiserock that the gameboy is just kind of there to make additional obnoxious sounds while we play.
