I've got a different but very cheap idea, I'll post how it goes when I get the parts smile

I'm sure there is a button matrix somewhere for less that $43.

I didn't notice any lag when I was doing it, but for some reason my GBA was giving weird sounds, almost as if I was hearing the clock signals.

At first I thought that they would not be able to sync because nl2.x is a gba game and lsdj is an old game, but that was not the case.
Also I found that using a DMG/CGB cable you can sync 3 gameboys at once!

The yellow cgb is running lsdj and is the master, it is set to 'nano' sync. The blue sp is running nanoloop 2.3 demo, and the DMG is running lsdj, set to midi sync, but I think setting it to slave works too.

To make nl2 receive sync messages you select the 2 triangles that look like a fast forward symbol and press a+b. If you stop the master, nanoloop will sort of pause where it was up to in the sequence. To set it back to the first step again and make it wait, just select the 2 triangles thing again and press start, then a+b again.

I used this cable: http://www.nonelectronics.com/catalog/i … ucts_id=10
Kitsh's cable should work too: http://kitsch.bigcartel.com/product/dmc … link-cable

I have that crappy $8 one from DX. The program called splinkp worked but only when loading 1 rom sad .This did the trick for me.

Just a heads up, those dealextreme GBA carts CAN be flashed through using a DS, but only with particular slot 1 cards.  I have a clone R4 that won't do the trick.  I have an edge that I'll be testing soon..

I used an acekard 2i with akaio firmware on a ds phat.

I'd buy it for sure smile

Edit: heart

Your gameboy colour and advance are both good for making chiptunes, but would probably be better with a prosound modification.
You can nanoloop carts and carts for putting lsdj on here and here.
Your ds lite could also make music using something like nitrotracker or korg ds-10.

I made a keyboard adapter today using this: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.7791. I chose it because its the cheapest price I could find for 2 female ps/2 plugs smile. Coloring as follows:
PS/2                    DMG
Red (Data)  -------- Yellow
White (GND) ------ Blue
Green (Vcc) ------- Brown
Black (Clock) ----- Green
Hope this helps anyone

Btw, I have only made one using the keyboard side of the y splitter, but the mouse side should have the same colors, I hope neutral
Edit: The mouse side uses the sames colors as the keyboard side.

Also @Turtle the keyboard lights should only flash when the power is first turned on.

More edit: The place ships after a few days then takes about a week to arrive here in Australia, but who cares when its free shipping big_smile

If the SP can't charge and the battery is still fine, I'd say its a fuse inside that has blown. As to which one or where to find the replacement, I have no idea.

I've tried to follow this and have had issues using a link cable I bought from kitsch.  Perhaps someone would be willing to join me in this journey into why the hell it doesn't work properly?

I mean, clearly the colors are mixed up, but for the life of me I can't figure out which is which.

No 5v in kitsch's cable, I have asked him myself. It pretty unlikely any link cable will have a 5v wire inside because it simply is not needed, although some third party link cable have the 5v pin so a wire could be added. Your best choice is DMG-07 or a light that plugs into the link cable port.
