Protip:
Use a good quality coating for the finish.

That custom DMG Case was made with sharpies on white acrylic paint and got sum layer of coat on.
The sad thing is that the coat gave the white Paint a yellow tint and alot of the black sharpie lines got a bit purple and died out. I had to redraw alot of it and put better coat on.
Still, it's a great piece of work and it also was Kool Skulls first attempt at a custom GameBoy, so he didn't know how to put it down the best way.

I have a case by Kool Skull. The bottom layer is sum white paint and on that he used black Sharpies to drawn on.
He also put a clear coat on - Ecspecially on the sides this lead to the effect of the black ink getting a purple washed out tone.
I ended up redrawing alot of the lines to fix that and put coat on it again. The pencils i use are not sharpies and i use them also to make my Custom Snapback Caps (example), the clear (non-shiny) coat on them is also the one i used on the Case.

So basiclly it also depends not only on the coat - The quality of the marker ink also counts.
Overall, either go with the "Swap-Case" Method or take the risk.

Just try the gray scale option or some other pallets when booting the Cart.

I'll make it easier on this one wink

Don't get me wrong, i will still order some and if they are made in limited amount then the price is Okay.
Generell i'm happy to finally see someone do it around here.
But the next possible step clearly are more colors.
And about the price again, to be honest i never saw a great need for 4 LED Backlights.
I still have GameBoys with the 3 ones and they are from the contrast and the light still one of the best i have seen. The one i use frequently actually just has a old 1x LED Backlight. Also not worse then 3x or 4x.

Anyway, gonna order some.

Nice, Backlights aus Deutschland.
Leider ist der Preis halt trotzdem happig, vorallem bei nem Bulk Kauf.
Sind auch die anderen gewohnten Farben in Zukunft geplant?

i wish i had enough well-managed time and moolah to go :C

Your like 2:30 hs of a drive away, there still are like 3 weeks to it, the coolest dudes will appear and there is a open mic.
So your excuse is not acceptable.

You guys know eindbaas? Well, when eindbaas started no-one knew about eindbaas. When I started making chiptune? Chip music was dead in Holland.
In 2014 not only is the chip scene in the Netherlands thriving with the likes of xyce and monodeer, eindbaas is one of the best known chip shows in the world. Oh, and I played chip tunes all over the world, from Tokyo to NYC, and met almost all chip peeps IRL. And it cost me heaps of money all worth it.
And I almost forget: I also play a lot of shows that have nothing to do with chip music. I could not care less that people come up and ask me what game I am playing, just as long by the end of the night they are dancing their asses off.

And nice to welcome u to Nuermberg soon.

About online and live scene - It is clear that without the online scene, the live scene wouldn't be so strong as it is today.
Shows like EINDAAS and Super Byte clearly are able to show how great the live experience is. Even my fascination about chiptune mainly comes from 90% Real and Live Experience and 10% Online Community.
If i talk to others it is mainly only online and i use Twitter way over facebook Group, but the connection i have with others is because i meet them on shows and in real life.

I even didn't mind to drive to Berlin once to a 8bit Bar after beeing awake for 12 hs after a night shift working through, driving up there 6 hs with a bus (And oh fck me, the ride. Old fookls talking 6hs/straight. Try to sleep there with already bad "sleep-on-road" skills). First Nintendoom sleeping a car, while having the craziest drive to a parking spot in a fcking blizzard. Last EINDBAAS went with my sister who whas exhausted coming from Austria, but hold out through.

Even if we all can complain that our local scene maybe is lacking (got 1 gig up in my hometown and planning on bigger one in the future - not sure yet, still only one around here in about 80 kms - then comes Nuermberg - about 45 min drive), real life experience are great.
And hey, the current state of online chip music scene?
Would not be that great without the stuff that goes on outside.

So i got no complaiment. I do stuff my way and it works.

I call bullshit on this.

My dmg01 sits next to my bed [...]

How about u just put it somewhere else?
Or just unsolder the backlight in it and just put it in another DMG. Get rid of ur "evil, scary, spooky" GameBoy.
Problem solved.

Hey you.

THE DIRTY TOUCH

Please listen to my track and say something about it. Or not.

Okay, again a Update.
The CoverArt is almost done, but we still having a delay. Once again thanks to my stupidity for (again !) forgetting SketchMan3.
U will notice that he is not in the listing of Artist in the frontpage, but yeah he sent a track in, so the Cover get's redone to also fit him into there.

So again, i'm really sorry for the delay ! While everything else is nearly done (except for CoverPrints aka. Inlays - of course) i can not gurantee that i can ship them till the beginning of next month, since i'll attend a long planned journey to 'merica in roundabout 10 days.
This didn't go down as planned, but i will make it up to ya all and get to fix this as best as i can.

For now, i can only give u a look at the not final CoverArt. There's also will be made some tweaks to the Names who kinda got Cutoff (e.g R10T33R, where the last letter is on the next row).

Yeah, i was hoping to post good news on the last touch for the Compilation before the End of April.
And that's the Cover Art. :'(
While nearly anything else is covered, i'm still waiting on the Cover Art from the artist who's in the making for it. I hope i can present it here soon and then start to get everything wrapped up and packed up.
It shouldn't be more then a couple days from now.
