Hey guys. I've been invited to play Square Sounds Tokyo this year. I need to sell stuff to pay for my plane ticket though. sad

Here's the first round of gear I'm trying to sell. Figure I'd post it here first before offering these things to eBay.

Moog Moogerfooger MF-101 - $200
Moog Moogerfooger MF-102 - $200
Moog EP-1 (CV expression pedal for any Moogerfooger) - $15 (sold)
Korg Electribe ER-1 mkii - $125

These prices don't include shipping. We'll figure that out if someone here is interested in this stuff. However, I would prefer not dealing with international shipping. If you're going to be a BRKfest or Little Sound Assembly I can deliver stuff in person!

I've never gigged with these. They've just chilled in my smoke-free home.

The Korg doesn't have its original power supply, just a generic after market one. The volume knob crackles a bit when you turn it but otherwise it works like a charm.

I'm also going to be selling a Moog Little Phatty Stage II, but I don't really want to ship that. If you're coming to the aforementioned fests, or you are within a few hours of me (I live in Huntsville, AL) we can talk about it.

You can PM me or email me at roboctopus (at) gmail (dot) com

Who all is planning on going?  I'm trying to start planning my trip and it would be cool to stay at a hostel or whatever with other chip people.

I wrote a series of articles on the WAV channel. They were on noisechannel.org which seems to be dying. I'm slowly porting them over to my tumblr if you want to take a look at them:

As excited as I am about playing, I am equally excited about getting to see a bunch of Japanese chip acts I never thought I'd get to see live.

Hype!

There's going to be a 2-day chip festival in Evansville, Indiana in early August. I guess that's sort of close to Southern IL.

There's a thread for it:  http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/14428 … ly-aug-89/

Maybe you could check out some of the artists from that if it's close enough to you geographically.

i've got that and about 20 assorted flashbob tracks on HDD

Yooooo, e.s.c., can you transmit those flashbob tracks to me somehow?  I've lost many of my older chip stuff and I miss flashbob.

Not a release, but does anyone still have Flashbob/Flashmob stuff?

This track is still one of my favorite LSDJ tunes of all time:  https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/648 … 0Fluff.mp3

I can't find much info on the dude so I don't know if he had a proper release.

This is really good! Engage is my fave.

Any DAW will do for recording audio. For free you can use Audacity or Reaper. (Reaper has more options).

Basically, plug your game boy into the mic input of your computer.  Probably, this will sound bad and be noisy, haha. Like Mr. Wimmer said, it would help if you had a recording interface. USB audio interfaces are pretty reasonable cost-wise. I use an old MIA MIDI card on my desktop computer.

BUT...the cheapest option would probably be getting a new 64m cart so you can bounce your .sav from the cart to the computer at will and just exporting the audio from BGB, if you want to go cheap.

I'm still hoping Super Bat Puncher gets completed.

Mine is just the email handle I've been using since 2003. I signed up for 8bc using it, so when I started posting chiptunes there it automatically became my stage name.

The origin is the name I wanted on hotmail was taken and I randomly asked my friend if he'd rather be an octopoid or a roboctopus. he answered "roboctopus" so I went with that. I've been signing up for internet sites using it ever since.

So, yeah, not much thought went into my name. I'm cool with it though.
