I'm bummed I couldn't make it to this!  sad  Just watched some videos of the chip showcase.

From what I've seen and heard, my own personal music would be really out of place, but I really want to help out next year. Something this cool should be fought for in Nashville for sure.

Really inspiring culture of exploration!

Hey guys, this is a short 4-track EP I released today.  Wit the exception of the last track, these are tunes I've been fiddling with on-and-off for about 3 years, never quite satisfied with the programming. I've always liked these tunes and they finally sound the way I want them to, and I think they sound pretty good together, so here they are.

One copy of LSDJ, so nothing too crazy. The download includes the .sav file so you can peek under the hood and steal all my patches.

Drax!

"Swamp Poo" is one of my favorite C64 funk jams.

I'm going to release a 4-track EP soon. Hopefully in a week or so.

have to steel batteries at work first... how do you guys run your batteries stock ? oO

I use rechargeable batteries. DMGs are battery hogs.

Two years ago I wrote a series of articles on LSDJ sound design that you might find useful. A lot of them talk about wav channel basses, kicks, etc.

I usually use one wav channel for bass and kick, even if I'm using 2xLSDJ, because the wav channel is also great for expressive leads.

Just experiment, but (in my opinion) the wav channel is going to give you your clearest kicks and lowest basses

Argh. There's an actual chiptune panel and showcase in Nashville and I'm out of town.  hmm

Maybe this will lead to some more shows in Nashville though!

Dude!  Black Foliage is *so* good.  Glad to see other OTC fans!

I use the same set up as you (MONODEER), it sounds like--two DMGs and a DJ mixer.  I boost the bass and leave the mid range flat and tweak the treble up just a bit (depending on the track).  That usually sounds pretty good to me.

I usually don't make my mix mono, but I do spend a lot of time making sure the levels are consistent within LSDJ and I work within the same volume range track-to-track.

Though maybe I should aim for a more mono mix?  Is that just to compensate for varying volume inconsistencies clubs might have from one side to the other?

I had a super good time!  CartRage audience was totally a blast; I got turnt.  Would CartRage again.

This is a cool idea.  I'll have to remember this when I have some new stuff.
