mine was alot of fun. it was back in summer at a place called the sno!bar.
it was a little battle of the bands type thing.
it all went pretty well, except one of my gameboys froze up and refused to work anymore for this one song D:
had to completely skip the song and carry on with the rest of the set. haha.

One of my friends was there, he told me about it, hehe.

Said things like "I felt bad for him when his gameboy broke!" and "he looked really nervous", haha. Good that you had fun, the sno-bar is a cool venue, and anyone doing chip in Milton Keynes is surely a cool guy/girl. smile

LSDj-like PC based DMG tracker running directly on the hardware

Haha, does this sentence make any sense? wink

I guess you are trying to say that you track on the computer while it's connected to the Sega? So it's basically like mGB but using its own protocol rather than MIDI (less flexible, more optimized, I guess). I would sure hate for it to be LSDj-like too, such a waste when you have more than 10 times as many buttons as LSDj does to work with.

I believe it was written in Qbasic (correct me if I'm wrong?), which is fairly awkward, hehe. Do you know if it is has been released/is going to be released any time soon?

I think 8bc (and possibly this forum too) tend to give off the impression of being a place for artists only - I once got flamed (at 8bc) for not having any tracks uploaded, hehe. There are surely a lot of people who do enjoy just listening to chiptunes, but they don't come to the forums as much because they have no desire to talk about "waves and hats and all that technical jargon".

Yeah! This song stands out a mile from the most dubstep, Akira Kiteshi is one of the most creative (and listenable, hehe) dubstep artists around.

When have you ever seen a piano with the keys set into the keyboard so the ends are closed off, and with big ovals on top of them? Also, most pieces of music will involve playing at least one 'black' note. smile

The easiest way is probably to go to Mibbit, choose 'esper' from the drop-down list, type whatever nickname you want in the 'nick' box, and '#chipmusic' in the 'channel' box. Then click 'go', and you should be in the channel. smile

Why doesn't it have real keys? Looks like form over function to me...

"Moonblaster for Moonsound FM

Moonsofts Amiga MOD file Player for Moonsound

according to the wikipedia page, I bet there's loads more too.

Indeed it is, I posted a link to it in the first reply (just in case anyone is thinking there is a difference, cause googling "IT2SPC" doesn't get much).

Maybe you can make an effects table which runs behind the note table, and then pressing a button or button-combo would flip it over to show just effects or just notes?

Not as intuitive as standard tracker layout but would save all the screen space and screen refresh issues.
