The color of a gameboy doesn't have anything to do with chip music.

Are you serious?  Everyone knows the elusive white gameboy simply sounds better than the grungy greyboy.  Why do you think it's more expensive?  More expensive means better every time.  I mean....right?

I have all colors but blue, but the one I use actively is a clearboy.

If you have a WAV instrument set up to play pingpong, loop, etc., you can delete all instances of the instrument except the first one and as long as your repeat is set to F, the synth will keep cycling through the frames without resetting.

I had no idea you could do this, this has literally changed my whole life!

Same here!  I am so pumped about this!  I was just listening to a song today that uses this technique thinking, "How in the hell?"  Now I am enlightened.  Thank you!

I'll give it a listen.

I don't find blue all that hard to see.  I have a blue and a teal (Kitsch RGB backlight).  Teal is really nice.  I have a purple one also, (nonfinite RGB using blue and red only) but that one is pretty hard to see.

*edit*
If you're worried about clarity, why not get it biverted?

Check out the music of the first guy who commented.  His latest is up on noisechannel.org.  It's great!

I'm not sick of chipmusic because...
I've been using the internet for years and am used to sifting through shit.  I always end up finding something I like.

sad All the chipmusic apps seem to be on iPhone.

Mostly I just get blank stares.  And people question why I'd want to do stuff in 8 bit when it's possible to do up to 24 now.  Because it's cool, that's why.

Ah, hold on Dude. Every LED Wire, got they on resistor! When i get home from work and get some sleep i will build in a RCA mod. I will take pictures of the LED wiring, kay?

Oh ok, that's what I had originally thought, but I'm not incredibly confident in my electronics knowledge.  A picture would help, thanks!

I've come across a few "producers" (beat makers) who have very blatantly bragged about having a ton of illegal plugs.  They offered to "hook me up".  The whole thing felt like a..."plug" deal.  *drum fill*  Thank you, thank you!  Anyway, it felt shady.  Though I understand the motivation, it does take away from the appeal of working with that person professionally.  The other good thing about having the legit versions is that you can then use them on any computer while cracked files will only work on the computer you installed them on.  But I can see your point, Br1ght Pr1mate.  It could be handy to not have to worry about the whole iLok thing in the comfort of your own home, assuming you bought the rights to the plugs.  That way, your trusty iLok can stay in your travel bag and you won't run the risk of leaving it behind.

But because i opened the case for the buttons and had to resolder a LED-Wire i can say this: There are 3, and they are all solder'd to the same ground with a resistor.
Don't know if this was helpful :?

Yes, it is helpful to know that there was only 1 resistor.  Thanks!

ilok sucks. hardware drm sucks. even legit producers i know with big studios that are 100% happy to pay for stuff just buy the licence and then hit up TPB.

its pathetic that to get usable software now you need to get cracked versions

Agreed.  I wish they'd come up with a better solution.  I understand why they do it, but it's incredibly inconvenient.  Imagine if you had some huge session and you forget your iLok.  Sorry, can't use the plug-ins you paid for.  Or imagine if you lost it.  They apparently have some safety against that, but you have to pay for that as well.  People used to steal them from my school all the time too, until they started zip tying them to the computers.  I do it for one reason only: the plug-ins are worth it.  I suppose you're right though.  If you've bought the license, you can't really get in trouble for getting a torrent.  I wouldn't be surprised if you could though for violating a rights agreement or something.
