They were leading easily in being the most memorable of dreampop/noise chip bands. I think they were guys that loved the community and got full schedules and busy very fast. I will treasure my vinyl copy of In Her Gentle Jaws.

Side note: they used to do some 100% chip cover songs on YouTube that made me like cover songs. yikes I miss them for that just as much.

god i want that vinyl and i dont even own a record player.

just from talking to kurt at the show they played in detroit last spring, it definitely sounds like neither him nor chirstoph were expecting the pains to take off so quickly.

as disappointed as i am that they are no longer a band, i can understand why when something you saw as a sort of "side project" in the beginning, gains more noteriety, it might have to come to the point of choosing what you want to bring your best efforts too, and letting one fall by the wayside, so to speak.

i would like to see an "official" last show/farewell happen, because they absolutely deserve it.

the pike room is so nice!

you guys need any local support?

either way im pysched to see you guys finally come to MI.

To clarify, because I have a bad habit and long history of failed satire (my artist name being the most obvious case) and I REALLY REALLY want to make sure people realize I meant no disrespect there, my comment was more an indictment of the trend of super fast chip music because the artists on that list are, in my opinion, more cerebral and compositional in their approach than many popular and current chip musicians and some people would be like "lol omg they all tha same" and I'm like "lolololo chip music"

*hyperventilates*

i laughed for real. so no worries.

a hally performance should just be mandatory every year.

but a good excuse to get him here again might be JulieHally.

just a thought.......

thanks guys! i really really appreciate all the feedback!

as far as upcoming releases go, we are *crossing fingers* hoping to have the full length ready to go by the end of spring.

BUT to help tide you over, we are going to be releasing a split with another amaaaazing band in the next month or so.

thats all i can say for now!

awesome. welcome to the community buddy.

ok for starters, one of the best things about composing chipmusic is that if you have no money...no problem!

if you own a computer there are TONS of trackers available to make music on for all sorts of different gaming systems, most if not all of them are FREE.

theres a list of them at: http://woolyss.com/tracking-trackers.php

personally, i use a program called famitracker, which makes music for the NES.

have fun! good luck!
