Hi all,

There's a listening party for my chiptune album, Reawakening, on the 9th December as 15:00 EST.

Having retired from the Amiga scene in 1993 I thought it was about time I wrote a chiptune album, celebrating the style of music I grew up with, and still to this day admire.

Several C64's, and Amiga, SIDStation, and the QuadraSID and Chipsounds plugins were used creating this, using 4 or more channels for the tracks.

If you're interested, the details are here - http://www.facebook.com/events/119598261532502

Mark.

and remember - FLIT KILLS MOTHS!

My music space changes pretty often, but I had it set up like this for a while when I was working on some chip tracks:

NES w/MidiNES, C64 w/Cynthcart, Circuit bent Kaossilator, KP2, MicroKORG, 2x modded DMG's with LSDJ, and Fostex reel-to-reel 4-track recorder for that extra crispy sound.

Woah... now THAT'S a setup! smile

Cubase 6.5 with a MOTU Ultralite MK3 interface.

A proper English Hello to you all,

I used to be in the Commodore Amiga demoscene with the handle TDK, and wrote a load of tunes for the likes of Anthrox and Melon Dezign. The chippies seem to become rather popular, and last year I decided to bring TDK out of retirement to work on a Chiptune album. It seems that I'll likely write a few.

The sound of the chip-scene has changed quite a bit over the years, but you can't flog a dead horse so I'm planning to carry on writing in the style I'm used to, but using a few more modern production techniques.

I'm using Cubase on PC, Melon-tracker (a rebrand of Protracker) on the Amiga, Cynthcart and Mssiah on C64, SIDStation, MIDINes and at some point a sammichsid (when I can build it) plus I Kickstarted the Retrocade Synth which should be with me later this year.

http://www.flitkillsmoths.co.uk will take you to my Facebook page, where I post tasters of what I'm up to when I have the time, balancing work with home etc.

I'm a sound designer by trade, working on Racing games for Codemasters, and a semi-pro electric violinist,

tt4n,

Mark.
