I figure since I've got an NES flash cart now, I might as well check out what's going on in the ole homebrew scene. Are there any homebrew games for the NES that you'd recommend?

Been in the same boat Brother so check these two links out

one of my favorite ways to work, pick up a super gameboy 2 if you don't want to try adding a link port later should you decide to use the keyboard.

good call

PR8 has coarse and fine tuning per drum.

juice.

Never use save state functions, ever!  Every parameter is set to FF, everything gets all wonky. and then the sav file gets all screwed up in the process. The upside? fresh PR8. Repeat Everdrive N8 save states + PR8 = disaster of data ravaging proportions. Other than that no problems with either thing

The Advantage is roughly the size of the console, and is actually really awesome for shumps and PR8. If you find one give it a shot.

sd is the standard on all everdrives though, at least that's been more prevalent than say... smartmedia cards or the parallel ports used by older flashers. I might be proving your point, but on the matter of Floppies, like cassettes I can still run to a pharmacy or dollar store and pick those up along with sd cards. So the residual life beyond their obsolescence is already 15+ years depending on how you look at it. That thought makes me feel a little better in regards to long term availability. Considering how many devices eat sd cards, and there is yet to be a competing format aside from the usb drive.

yeah that's what I get when I google it,

When I was a kid my dad always found/bought random things home for my brother and I. He took us to a friends house down the road, we got parked with an nes and a zapper. 2 days later he walked home with the nes in a grocery bag and said "here you go." that was 91.  All we had was duck hunt/mario bros, and top gun. All we needed till Zelda showed up, typed the name as zelda.

Howdy folks,
Just received my enio in the mail the other day, love the expanded sound. Now I am looking into famicom peripherals or jerry rigging some up i.e. finding regular keyboards (both kinds) to plug into the the board. Give some titles like family composer and Ikari Musician(spirtual grandparents to TrippyH and Mario Paint) along with family basic a try. Wondering if anyone else has done anything with enio.

I like these alot
