I use a GBC. I just embrace the whine and the hum. Livin' on the edge.
But in all seriousness, I actually like a little bit of hum in GB recordings. In some cases, because as listed above, BGB is pretty damn accurate, the hum is the only way I can tell something was recorded from hardware. And it's like vinyl crackle or the bit of noise you'll get from recording something on analog equipment, it's just nice. If it's distracting that's one thing, but, especially if using a prosound mod on a DMG, it should never be THAT bad. EMBRACE THE HUM!

Haha man, this is somewhat off topic, but MIDI Tracker is how I first started writing music...when I was a teenager I just wanted to make electronic music and I knew the Midi format from downloading video game music, so I just looked for a way to make Midi files, and found that piece of shit. So buggy. And I knew nothing at all so I thought the tracker interface was just how all people made music with computers. When I actively started writing real chip music it made it an easy transition though smile

i used to rock the behringer xenyx 1202fx...it was alright for recording, the only effect that was worth a shit was one of the reverb settings...playing out, i think the second show I ever used it at the volume slider broke off in my pretty uncrowded gig bag, so i had to adjust the volume using a pin...then gradually channels stopped working and the fucking thing would just suddenly lose power for no reason...so i destroyed it on stage at a show in san diego like some shitty punk guitarist would his guitar...people liked it.

now, i use the numark x6. i fucking love it. the effects are fantastic enough that i've stopped using the mini kp live...my game boy colors sound good thru it too. the advantage i find with dj mixers is that now i like to beat match, queue something up on the other game boy and switch back and forth between which beat is playing to create new beats, cool tricks like that...when transitioning between tracks it makes it easier to cut the volume too because i can just slide left or right, when dealing with a knob based mixer receiving two mono signals, that was a pain in the ass to adjust in real time while manipulating something on another gb...

bought my plane tickets yesterday!

this is going to be so fucking good.

Woah, since when do people want to see WizWarz live?

Yep, Flowers of Flesh And Blood. I've only seen that one, though i have all of them. Not recommended for the faint of heart, though the special effects are literally the best I've ever seen.

album art is a promo still (i believe) from the second movie in the Japanese series "Guinea Pig".

This is a compilation of sorts, all the tracks were previously released as a couple of really short EPs, but I decided they worked better together as one short EP (it was originally supposed to be a seven inch) and so I remastered them and here it is. Not sure too many people heard the original releases anyway, they were only up for a short time.

This is easily the rawest, most fucked up, nasty, noisy, glitchy shit I've ever done. Hope you hate it.

Oh Imma push the fuck out of this. Believe me. I already invited a shit ton of people. But if need be to fit in better with the chip stage I can always play a more chip crowd / dance friendly set (I'm more cool with this idea than I once was).

Apparently I'm playing upstairs on the band stage for reasons I do not quite understand. But still, ROCK.

AWESOME.
I really wanna do a 7" but still can't justify the price. And the lathe cut records dude won't get back with me so can't go that route either...
