Not to be an ass, but, for the noise fans, bump.

Low-Gain, I had an image from tinypic hotlinked, a screenshot of an analog 8-step sequencer board I've already laid out.  Based upon 4017s and 4066s, it also includes LSDJ and Nanoloop sync options.  But for some reason chipmusic.org deleted it and replaced with some crazy .gif.  Ehh...

Did you ever get those boards made? Think i read it like yous aid you lost your gerbers.
If you still have the schematics perhaps we can expand upon it... and make it better.
there were some things i wanted to add to yours when we last talked about it.

i wanted to try one out..

also are you using 4017's to do clock conversion for the the sync options?

I do still have the schematic - my gerbers are gone though.  And I'd love to hear about some other ideas - these things can't be kept to one mind you know.  I am using 4017s to do the clock conversion:  divide by 48 for LSDJ and divide by 12 for Nanoloop.

Video of the one I made without a fabbed board - just some RadioShack thing.

I'll be doing some fun things over there shortly. been trying to catch-up on other projects first. So dont be trying to take away my section homie!

I have a sequencer pcb in the works, to be installed into instruments to sync w/ other devices such as gb's or anything w/ analog clock or midi clock. Should be fun. I also have a bunch of instruments i'm putting together that i will post pictures of the progress, and include design guides, etc.

And then my virtual machine exploded and I no longer have th source files.  sad  Looks like I'm losing the race, eh?

oh gees!! with the cassettes!!!! smile

so where can i go to do a real-time review of it?

Hey, thanks for the interest!  Free download is on the link in original post, and if you wish to review, you'll can talk with the kind people in #8brot on irc.esper.net, they're pretty cool and will probably do a real-time with you if it's a community thing you like.

My latest release is entitled "I Must Confess This Is Just An Elaborate Experiment" and there is a limited run of cassettes (only ten!) you can buy from the lovely folks at Afternoons Modeling (the kind label-like folks who released this) for $4 shipping included with hand-made artwork and stuff.

Seven songs, just shy of 47 minutes.  Please, allow me to serenade your daily life with my broken sounds and twisted circuitbent noise.  I promise that there is a very low cliche to wonderful ratio, and that none of my work is stolen from lo-bat.  It's all rather ambient, experimental and all of that sort of stuff that you're probably not into, but I hope you'll give this album a shot anyway.

Thanks, please download from Afternoons Modeling's homepage.  -  http://afternoonsmodeling.tumblr.com/

Tracklisting:
01 - Equivocal
02 - Afternoons Spent Somewhat Inorganic
03 - Innocuous Surrender to the Lowest Tier
04 - Life Concluding Prose So Long Forgotten
05 - 273K
06 - Melancholy Acts of Self Preservation
07 - Ever Transient.
(Yes, I am aware the tracks are out of order in the download, sincere apologies.)

Totally cannot be held responsible for things said during review - I'm a completely different man then.  That said, I actually liked the drums, maybe just because they're so different to me, but even if it's just that, I liked it.

Thanks for the fantastic album, we were all very happy to review this one.

This is so amazing, I wish I had half this man's talent.

Thanks guys. Didn't mean to make this about me. Just meant that hearing my little four-chord ditty being played by a guy with abilities as sophisticated as Shnabubula is pretty humbling. And AWESOME at the same time.

Never saw it as such.

I was about to suggested Audacious, but it seems that's what you've already got.  It plays NSF for me just fine, haven't tried to install anything else as of yet to run other formats.

Here I stand, but a humble friend, brought to my true limits by Lazerscale2010 and I must say, I'm having a lot of fun with this.  Most people I explain this project to call me either stupid, insane, or something similar.  Whatever.  If I don't make it to 365, what a shame, but I'm glad I'm a part of this, and if it weren't for you other crazies, I'd never manage a feat like this.  Here's to 352 more wonderful days!

Thirteen songs uploaded, only day twelve here.  I'm proud to say I've got one day I can rest for - hopefully I can increase that number over this week.  We'll see.

So amazing!  Now I am so in the market for a powerpak + NES.  Shame that will cost me so much money - but man, just LOOK at that, amazing work.  I'm a total affectionate of live-hardware stuff.  Really excited about live potential.  big_smile
