I've used VBAGX on the Wii before, and while it sounds great, if you try to play along with anything else, you suddenly realize how horribly out of tune it is. Other than that, it sounds fine.

wiis are gay, and you would look stupid with a motion controller on stage.

I once added a Wii to my set, emulating MuddyGB through VBAGX and controlling it with a DDR pad.
While I played a keyboard along with LSDJ/DS-10.
It looked ridiculous, but it was amazing and everyone loved it.

Is there footage of this? That sounds amazing.

Edit: Yeah late to the party.

I was looking for this yesterday!!

Let me just quote the snes thread and.....

Super Mario World

Man, but the gba has a great catalog and you couldn't really go wrong with much of anything unless you don't like a specific genre.

Play the final fantasy remakes, the advanced wars, the dragon ball z games (the top-down perspective ones, not the SF-like fighting ones), the pokemans, minish cap, sonic battle.

I've seen bondo get mentioned in a lot of console modding projects, don't know if it comes in clear...

Bump for I've been listening to this more and Rooftop Opportunity is beautiful.

The pulse channels don't really change. The wav channel sounds shitty especially while using samples and the noise channel sounds different, though not necessarily bad. There's also the issue that unless your instrument envelopes are all set to decay the sound will continue after you pause, giving you a lot of straight tones/droning sounds. You can use this to your advantage though, I have done it before. (nitro has an edited lameboy rom that fixes this bug)

Otherwise you could write on your DS and move your savs over to your computer and record/render them off VBA.

(tl;dr it doesn't suck that bad.)

One time a guy edited every post in his whole thread because the feedback he got on his product wasn't what he wanted. (nininstrument??)

I just checked ebay to make sure I'm not talking out of my ass but all I saw was bundles with link cables/cames or in the box with the manual, that makes it more valuable so...

"Stock" being great condition, 20-25USD ish (shipping included within reason).

"Stock" being some scratching, heavy yellowing, vertical lines, and the usual problems of used gameboys about 10-15USD.

They almost always go cheaper locally.

In my experience from what I've seen and bought.
