I think its useful in a lot of situations given that some improvements are made.  Also 3 channel NESMod with this through it would sound awesome!

If I recall it's missing a port on it's backside that the 130XE had, don't quote me on that though.  Ah, it had neither the Enhanced Cartridge Interface of the later machines like the 130XE or the Parallel Bus Interface of the early machines.  Pretty big turn off for me.

For stereo POKEY this looks to be the best one.  Really great bit of features I think!

However for combined stereo POKEY with Covox MOD 4 channel sample doohicky there is this, but I don't think it's needed.  We have Amiga's for that plus it has a weird daughter board.

Lastly memory upgrades don't seem to be a problem considering a radical 1MB upgrade possible on most Ataris!

For a drive I recommend SDrive and for alternate OS's, Sparta DOS X looks to be the cream of the crop.

Haha, after re-reading that a day later it's easy to tell I'm pretty excited!  As far as controller ports, I'm positive you could.  The Longhorn Engineer is a great guy too so I'd email him about real hardware specific stuff.  I plan to box mine up in a very small container with the screen, system switches, and controller ports and possibly a built in harmony and a better audio amp. (and the A2KF MIDI amiright?)  I might just use it's controls to build a tiny external controller!  This thing would also be very nice for portable Loopcarting!

Well this surprised me!  The Longhorn Engineer has plans to sell PCB's and kits I believe of a new 2600 motherboard!  We still get the original TIA and its lovely sounds, with built in video mods (S-Video), controls and a nice screen.  This will also alleviate the problems with faulty capacitors and such that have driven me crazy!  My only worry is the quality of it's audio amp...  I'm certainly excited to use this with music though!  (it probably won't be compatible with Synthcart however because of it's limited controls)

Also the freaking Harmony Cart is out!!!  I totally forgot about this one!  Basically it's a nice 2600 flash cartridge with a built in SD card slot that supports SD and SDHC and USB built in.  It support just about all of the 2600 library.  I'm fairly certain it covers ALL titles regardless of their specific cartridge designs and such.  The real kicker, it's only a whopping $60!  Awesome!

So these are two great developments for Atari 2600 music!  big_smile

I think something should be done to make these programmable via CopyNES.  I certainly plan to make a N106 NSF CopyNES cart.

Flash Carts for any system.  (specifically Genesis)  Atari STe.  Atari 130XE.  Small LCD's.  NESMods.  MIDINES (lol). Other stuff, be creative.  Need a 1541-II and an fastloader cart or a ram expansion cart for the C64!  Also an EXTREME GREEN GAMEBOY POCKET and any other cool clear Pockets!
Stuff I have for trade Hing Hon Keyboard (might soon be gone though), TI Touch and Discover, Gameboys, NES, YM2612 Chip, Synthcart + Video Touch Pads, Atari 2600 (takes time to warm up for synthcart (glitchy sounds), perfect for games)
I'll add more as I think of them.  I also have cash.

Thanks! big_smile
