Re: Game Boy Horror lens --preorder here (20 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I'd say you'll be very very hard pushed to find buyers for this. Creating something that's aesthetically pleasing and not necessarily related to one particular game would be beneficial. Especially for if it was the original game boy screen.
The GBCs are pretty shit, and I've never met anyone who uses it as the handheld of choice. If they do, it seems purely for nostalgias sake. The screen colour is weak, the carts moved inside the console, the batteries drain fast and it isn't backlit.
Not to mention Carillon and LSDJ sound like ass through it.
GBC users is a niche market, GBC screen enthusiasts is an even more niche market and the fanbase for Luigi's Mansion is pretty small. If you're going to find a market for them, you're likely to find it here.

There is much potential here. If I happen by a DSi, or even a DSi user, I shall heavily push it.

Re: What was your first chip gig like? (100 replies, posted in General Discussion)
my first chip gig was shaky at best.....didn't have the prosound mod on my gameboy yet (so i sounded terrible) and also had other technical problems.....but each gig seems to get better and better
I've been playing shows for three years, never used a 'prosound' mod - the sound is fine. I don't get the obsession with them. The output is a bit clearer, but virtually unnoticeable when music is being played.
I'd say your first show isn't one that matters - you're only as good as your last performance.

Interesting arps, pulsewidths alternating and panning are good places to start.

That'd be brilliant. Is there a general date of the shows? (Third Friday of the month, or anything?)

Topic: I'm Looking To Tour The UK (6 replies, posted in General Discussion)
Hello. I'm looking at touring the UK either by the end of this year, or the beginning of next. I'm looking for artists who might be interested touring with me and promoters (especially in England) that would be interested in working with me (or us, as the case may be).
For Scotland, I'm confident about a Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow show being relatively easy to arrange.
PS - I welcome the idea of couchsurfing the tour, if there are people here with a couch to lend - it'd be great. I'd be looking at travelling by public transport between each show, so the more central to bus stations and train stations, the better.
