I wholeheartedly agree. Once you step outside of the most common names thrown around in whatever genre of music you're involved in/listen to, you can find some wonderful things. Being outside of the norm is a difficult place to be, but there will always be those who appreciate it.

PROTIP: Never play Catan drunk. You will senselessly beat your most cherished friends and loved ones just for their longest road.

I'm an intern at FreeGeek. Basically, we accept donations of computer hardware/various gadgets, test to see if they work, and either recycle it or give/sell it back to the community. We also install Ubuntu on the computers we build, and teach people who are receiving these machines how to use it. I'm in Advanced Testing, so I'm responsible for making sure that everything we get runs perfectly. Sometimes while I'm working I like to code little programs in C++ or bash and leave them on testing machines as surprises.

I'm also a Thespian, a nihilist, a metal snob, the winner of many high school poetry slams, and a cartoonist.

I read a lot of books too.

Asking for a music scene that isn't a friends club and will hold new members in the same esteem as long-time friends is like asking for a chipmusic forum without videogame threads. Neither are very likely at all.

There's a reason why many people here are held in higher esteem than others and that is because they worked hard and paid their dues, and have sacrificed a lot on account of their craft. Everybody else has the same chance that they had to prove themselves, and to spread their proverbial seed around. So to call this community elitist is not necessarily a bad thing.

This exceeded my high expectations. Your guitar work really captured a lot of the things my mind fills in when I listen to the NSF (that sounds really vague and gay, DEAL WITH IT).

Arfink, you are definitely a hero amongst men. Once this product matures a bit more, I will definitely snap one up.

One trick I like to use when making custom kits is importing samples at 2x speed, and then slowing them down to normal speed in the instrument menu. That way, you can have twice as many samples in one kit.

This is seriously sweet though.
