Sounds like a great idea! I think strict rules are interesting.

Out of curiosity, what do you need these lists for?

some of these are songs that made me fall in love with chiptunes music in the first place.

Same.

För gött änna.

ATH m50x for closed.
Sennheiser HD600 for open. Love.

I think Beyerdynamic makes better closed phones than ATH, but the drivers are too sensitive.

You must be new here.

Please shut up and let the man take his time.

Would be really cool. Personally I would like MIDI in w/ editing via CC messages and all that jazz.

No, that's how it sounds when you change samples during playback without interpolation.
(the "FM" in nanoloop is wavetables of FM waveforms)

Although...The crackling is quite severe in that recording... But it sounds like that only when modulating the tone of the FM sounds, right?

This is too good! Need to get on this stat.

Is it possible to make this transferrable via audio? I don't have the USB cable unfortunately.

sammichSID is the best MIDI controllable SID synth out there, it's essentially a MIDIbox SID but in a nicer, smaller package.
It can play SID files via ASID players if you want to do that as well.

Don't bother with SidStation or HardSID, they are obsolete.
Therapsid is also a bit wonky.

Wow, that sounds really cool! Love how thick and crunchy it is.
Is this recorded off an actual ZX Spectrum?

oh yes

Cool!

Please upload on git, would be very cool to check it out.

The best way is to realise that you are making music with a Game Boy and just roll with it

Cool.
Release notes though?
