Melody seems decent but a little weird in the middle. The track sounded empty because you only used 2 channels. That last bit sounded more like it. I also missed drums, but feel free to do whatever you like!

Just found it on reddit, did you post this or not? http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments … ted_clear/

EDIT: Just read the reddit username, so I'm guessing yes. I was just suprised that someone actually posted OC.

There's Fatass, but I haven't seen anyone use it. Also, I think it's pretty old too

I'll throw some in, but I found these on youtube and patchbooks, so these aren't original and probably not as good as the rest in this thread. I'm going to try the rest out myself right now!

Are you sure you'd want to do a SMT kit though?

No, I don't. I don't want to make a kit at all quite frankly. I already have the SMD boards made, and my plan was to have them assembled by machines.  Everyone seems to be for the idea of a DIY kit though, but I'm definitely not making a third PCB. There's a ready-to-etch board that can be found at the link I posted if anyone wants to do the thru hole version.

I think getting a fully assembled board is still a good option for a lot of people and these look really nice, especially in the blue case. I would buy one, but since I have so much time on my hands I'm going to build one myself. As for the rest, I'm going to look into getting the standard layout printed out by a company, maybe I'll get a few extra for the DIY people in here (but I wouldn't count on it), because the original design only has one SMD, which will make soldering a lot easier.

Can you put a standard DMG in one?

yes!  100% compatible.

What I meant is: Can you post a picture of DMG hardware in the case?

Can you put a standard DMG in one?

I'm thinking about making one following the regular PCB layout from the website, but I can't find ferric chloride to etch the PCB layout over here, only on Amazon.co.uk and ebay. Also, did you get the cartridge slot from something like a game genie or an actual Game Boy? That seems the only part that is hard to come by and I don't want to destroy one of my gameboys.

Otherwise, the programmer looks really neat and the price seems decent too, but doing it myself will keep me busy and be a couple bucks cheaper.

Maybe this is obvious to some, but I'm not sure myself so I wanted to ask: can the programmer read the SRAM of other cartridges as well, like a Pokémon game or the Game Boy Camera? If I can do with the programmer what I'm currently accomplishing through a Mega Memory, that alone might interest me in picking one up eventually. I'm not really down for soldering those SMD IC's, though...

I think so, there is an app for the programmer so that you can get photos off your Game Boy Camera and I'm guessing that this would work for other cartridges, although I'm not shure.

Also, how would you go about fixing one of the bleepbloops? I don't have much experience, but I do have a lot of time on my hands.

You skipped over this one

the clear teal is pretty dark colored, its more green than blue.

there is like...  maybe two sets left, so they'll be gone in a second anyways most likely for good.  don't think i'll do that color again.

if you're interested at all grab a set now,

clear blue ones are a color i'll do again, probably shortly.  i liked that color a whole lot.

Yea me too, they look great in a standard dmg case with a blue backlight

Hey can I get a picture from those clear teal DMG buttons? I was looking for clear blue ones, but I can't find any, maybe the clear teal ones will be okay. Also, how would you go about fixing one of the bleepbloops? I don't have much experience, but I do have a lot of time on my hands.

I didn't hesitate at all, but I couldn't buy one of these untill today. Will the next batch be the same prize and when would they be shipped out?

Apeshit wrote:

The next batch is now in the works. I'll do a bigger run this time. Price will jump up, but they will no longer be sold "as is". These ones will be clear with white PCBs.

Oh sorry I missed that my bad

First I miss those sweet Datatrash t-shirts and now this cartridge? Why is this happening to me?

Yeah... this run was too small, no time for hesitation with picking one up.

Going to do a pre-order on the next run in a few days, after these are all finished up.

Sammich SID is sold.
