Is there a deadline yet for submissions?

I will be that one guy with the hot red jeans and the buzzcut dancing like a complete idiot...

I learned, like many, classical piano before expanding into playing percussion for my school's band then delving into guitar and finally chiptune. As for being able to read sheet music, I find it important, but I myself am no good at all at being able to sightread and play something. I usually figure out what it is I am playing through by going through it slowly a few times before really amping it up. I think that everyone interested in any sort of musical composition should know as much musical theory as they can so that when they go through their weird Avant-garde phase they can write something in the Mixolydian mode.

lol... I am 17.... I thinks I just need to get off my lazy @$$ and actually bother with doing post-production work and uploading... this is a good incentive! ^_^

I can't make it up for Pax, but I will be able to get over to the X-Bit in time...

Do you know when (or if) the next X-Bit is... I know AbductedBySharks wanted to make it a monthly thing like the Circuits Ole. I have also heard the Circuits Ole shows are super fun... unfortunatley, being under 21, I haven't been able to go to one yet. I have seen some of the vids from the one on July 7th though. -.- I wish I was older...

Next Circuits Ole is projected for October 5th at the Josephine in Seattle.. would be an all ages show.

P.S. I'm playing it. Come watch me make a fool of myself

Awesome! I will see if I can make the X-Bit Saturday, but unfortunately I won't be able to make the next Circuits Ole show on account of me having to do the SAT on October 6th. sad

Wow... thanks so much! After somebody posted something about SID-Wizard I kept trying to figure it out, but got really confused and gave up. I will give it another try though.

I have a Behringer as well and a good set up (for 1 channel) that has worked well for me is to have High pass on full or slightly less, Mid pass on about 3/4 or slightly more, and Low pass, obviously, on full.... other than that, I would just say to change the volume of instruments so the bass is more obviously emphasized

I saw the title and thought it said "Collab wih a raper" but then I looked again and realized it said "Collab with a rapper" and I was like.... same thing....

pixitracker is fun , but honestly i would skip it and use  sunvox if you have a device that has it.

This. I played with pixitracker for a few minutes and it just felt too limited. Sunvox feels like a real tracker.

lol... it felt too limited... idk, it looks interesting and I will have to check it out but I would definitely agree that Sunvox would be a preferable alternative as it offers such a variety in what you can do...

ahh you're right, after re-reading your post it looks like I misunderstood what you meant; you were advocating supporting more interesting discussion here whereas I was interpreting it as "take that elsewhere", my bad.

I still thing we need a chip chat playground though wink

I like the idea of a playground, too.

noichan chatroom...

Why has know one mentioned LGPT yet?.... LGPT is really good alternative to LSDj for folks running emulators on PSPs or other such devices...

It's on a couple of handhelds...but it have nothing to do with gameboys !!!

True... but he was just asking for some alternatives to LSDj or Nanoloop... though you can't very easily have it put on a gameboy does not mean that it is necessarily a bad tool for making music... was just trying help...

Is it gonna be an all ages show?... cause I am not 21+...
