unless you're toadpeach puking 8bit youtube videos in 5 minutes after converting a tab you downloaded from ultimate guitar into a midi

Hey, this sounds cool.
Personally, I think being able to buy Chip's Challenge "loops" kind of lessens the value of our songs, though. I tried imagining a Special Beam Cannon loop in a game and well... I didn't like the idea.
Just my opinion.
Why would you ever be depressed upon completion of a song? We get hyped man, total honeymoon phase for this new badass song!
... but then that phase ends and you realize that song isn't really that great, so you just go "meh let's make a new one"

BUT I'm pretty sure this thread was a joke because some people actually feel that way: that there are "too many comps" when in reality there haven't been that many this year.

You're doing a great job, actually finishing a comp. Tons of people start shit and never finish.
How many comps here aren't actually jokes? The latest one *is* the Beasties comp.
How many other chip comps were there so far this year? What, like 5~? I don't think that's that many.
If anything, individual artists should stop releasing records amirite? Clogging up the goddamn release forum
