I used to have that problem too, but I tweaked it somehow so it was about 95%. It's a good snare though.
It's definitely a nice snare. Having sat and played with it a bit, the triggering thing seems to be related to how close it is to another note. A couple of my snares are really close to hi-hat hits. It's those that fail most frequently.

Dude, make an instrument like this:
Envelope: 55
Length: 2F
StableTable:
TSP
F4 OL
01 OR
00 OLR
-- H04
When I've used these kinds of snare in the past they've had weird problems with triggering. Like, It will only produce sound on that instrument 40% of the time.

A few years ago there was a chip show at a local venue, but it didn't take off. As of right now, as far as I can tell, It's just me and my musical partner in crime in sleepy leicester UK.
I am the only chipmusician on the isle of man
EDiT: I am also the best
I once looked at the isle of man. I was in wales. True story.

Is your user name perhaps in reference to Andrew Loomis, the author of "Figure drawing for all its worth"?

I've been covering this song acoustically for like 3 years, as the staple "get the crowd going when I'm otherwise just another guy playing acoustic guitar" guy.
Good job I'm moving onto a new schtick. a beep-boop-bleep. WAIT. AWW HELL NO.

if there's anything I've learned about cm.o it's that it's not cm.o without unbridled hatred, massive circlejerking, and elitist pig talk
so I feel like I really fit in with you guys
If you replace "LSDJ" with "Gibson", "Nanoloop" with fender, and Ant1 with Kensai, it's exactly like being on ultimate guitar when I was 17. I'm getting used to this place. I feel like I understand it.

Wasn't nintendocore a joke HORSE the Band came up with that went wildly wrong when people took it too seriously?
Regardless, I think that all music kind of changes over time. My first real experience of anything approaching chip music was HORSE the Band and IAMERROR. In the time that I've been listening to chip music there's been several distinct strands of it at anyone time, all of which have risen or faded in popularity over time. Just as over the course of my life I've seen different genres fall in and out of popularity.
I'm in a band at the moment which is basically alt rock with a gameboy and a synth not sure if that counts as nintendocore or not . If it does, I guess there's some life in it yet haha

I'm a trained linguist who's just about to graduate into a world that doesn't actually need linguists. I work in a pub to stay afloat.
Other than that, I hang around in Leicester UK making music as and when I can. If I'm not working, I participate in the Dirty Electronics Ensemble with my friend and mentor John Richards, who recently designed a synth for mute records.
I generally try to Wrangle DIY instruments as and when I can, and I like giving workshops when I have the opportunity. Currently interested in Micro Radio transmitters and broadcasting TAZ's.
I've also performed with Chris Carter of Throbbing gristle, which is one of my proudest achievements. Lucky enough to own one of the original Dirty Carter E.S.G.I.'s
I also play the shit out of minecraft.

True. You should come to this tomorrow:

The MUD guys are from Leicester where I live, other than me and one mate of mine, I'm pretty sure Leicester hasn't had a chip scene since 2009.
I'd love to get involved at one of their events though.

You just have to think of it as some experimental #$*%U#
As a man who generated feedback via stuffing earbuds up his nose on stage once, I question your definition of experimental.

Maybe she just reeeeally wants to be a musician but doesn't want to go through the hard work of actually learning how to make music.
As far as I know she went to the music college in the town I'm from.
