What I would think has happened is this:
-Seb recieved the preorders.
-Real life happened and he had to put them off.
-Putting it off repeatedly turns into anxiety avoiding procrastination.
-The money is used on something else.
-Thinking about the project becomes a serious source of anxiety.
-Stops thinking about the project.
-Stops Answering emails.
-Spiral continues.

It's disappointing because he was such a respected figure in chipmusic I don't believe its malicious, it's just totally shitty. Seb if you read this just reach out and people can come to some sort of arrangement. Even if it's only an apology.

As for how to let go (if that's what you want to do) allow me to be a bit hippyish for a minute.:

Shichiri was reciting the sutras when a robber entered his room, put a knife to his back, and demanded his money. "Over there in the box," said Shichiri, going on with his recitation.
As the robber was leaving, Shichiri said, "Leave me some for my taxes; they are coming around tomorrow to collect." So the robber put back some of the money and started to leave.
"Don't you thank someone who makes you a gift?" asked Shichiri. So the robber thanked him, and went off.
A few days later the robber was caught; and among other confessions, he said he had robbed Shichiri. But Shichiri refused to testify against him. "I made him a gift of some money," he said. "And he thanked me for it. That was all."
The robber served a prison term. When he was freed, he went directly to Shichiri. "Will you be my teacher?" he said.

Ah shit, yesterday their website was down for the update on you could only get them through a supplier.

Edit double post sad

They sold out so quick. I really want the rhythm to flesh out my battery powered jam shit.

Sucking at something is the first step to being kinda good at something. You get experience by just doing shit and not worrying about if it's good or not. Have fun, you've got years ahead of you to worry about being good.

At 15 I picked up a piece of shit guitar from someone's attic and sat with a goddamn guitar on my lap almost continuously for the next 4-5 years. Best decision of my life.

“Nobody tells this to people who are beginners, I wish someone told me. All of us who do creative work, we get into it because we have good taste. But there is this gap. For the first couple years you make stuff, it’s just not that good. It’s trying to be good, it has potential, but it’s not. But your taste, the thing that got you into the game, is still killer. And your taste is why your work disappoints you. A lot of people never get past this phase, they quit. Most people I know who do interesting, creative work went through years of this. We know our work doesn't have this special thing that we want it to have. We all go through this. And if you are just starting out or you are still in this phase, you gotta know its normal and the most important thing you can do is do a lot of work. Put yourself on a deadline so that every week you will finish one story. It is only by going through a volume of work that you will close that gap, and your work will be as good as your ambitions. And I took longer to figure out how to do this than anyone I’ve ever met. It’s gonna take awhile. It’s normal to take awhile. You've just gotta fight your way through.”

This year I wrote probably 10 hours worth of ideas, loops and general snippets and released one track. I'm too self critical to just get over myself and release shit.

I guess I just have to let it go sad

P.S. please check out Aly James'  FMDrive and SPSG plugins.
They sound great and are a great alternative to waiting years for a GenMDM

2 years? Jesus. It's a shame that in the end this all went the way of the Midines.

You can more or less, but you'll never be able to get more than one percussive sound playing at once if you do. The trick, I find, is to learn to spread parts over multiple channels. Using double time you can make kicks and basses on the wave channel seem to blur together for example.

Not a huge fan of Andampathy Flampdingo but I'm always happy to see people reviewing chip music as music not as novelty.

Might be "Kyubey" that I wrote for Toriningen
https://soundcloud.com/forabrokenearth/ … -album-out

Or maybe "Toriningen"  the title track
https://soundcloud.com/forabrokenearth/toriningen

Though If I did them today the production would be way better.

They actually got someone from the community to write something which is great. Their usual schtick is to send someone who doesn't like genre X to a genre X event and to discuss why the fans of said genre are plebs.

Also the closest thing to "mario at a rave" was "Teletext mescaline trip" which is frankly brilliant.

It took a year for me to get mine from the first batch. It sucks but I think he drastically underestimated how demanding this kind of thing is.
