Thanks though. smile

Yeah it's totally doable. It's better at 2x tempo, cuz you get more ticks per "phrase" (one drum loop). It just wastes an extra channel for a step or two. So 2xGameboy would be better for it.

Just have the song cut out repeatedly, due to bad synchronization. =P

I'm guessing combo of pulse and noise, but not quite sure how...

Bingo. You can pull it into Audacity if you want to see it up close, but it's a pretty basic thing. LSDJ isn't really cut out for instruments like that (nor is gameboy in general) but uh.. it sounds like noise - pulse - noise... Pitch.. hard to tell.

Imagine the physics of a hard snare drum hit. You hit it, the hit resonates, the snare rattles out.

FearOfDark has some examples of terrifically fitting names for tracks based on their content such as 'The Last Dinosaur'. Its the best example of musical story telling I can think of and keeping the title in mind whilst listening definitely takes you on a grand journey.

I've always thought it was very similar to story telling (writing music). You face the same challenges of holding people's attention, and leading them to something that will be entertaining.

I guess it should be like writing an essay. You name it at the end (if you're like me). Describe the experience of writing it, if you must. Obviously, if you name your songs a b c d e f g ... it won't be as memorable. It puts more responsibility on the tracks to distinguish themselves. Unless your like Basic Channel, and you just release these dense continuous sound fields. Generally, if you don't have a reason to break the rules.. just follow them, I think. Unless you want to make a statement through deviation.. Just name your songs names. =P

good point, I use it with my usb keyboard and mouse on an OTG usb cable on it...the tablet version is kinda cool !

Well yeah, there's a bunch of open source stuff on Android. As far as brand new, quality music software, it seems to be lacking on Android. As far as I know. It seems like Android users are always saying that anyway.

I agree though ios needs more trackers.

I think Android is fertile ground for any music app that can work in it. There's a supply shortage. But anyway, I just bought it. It seems pretty cool, scrolling is more intuitive than sunvox anyway. Look forward to writing something with it.

I like it. Tape compression can be really boss.
