I never meant that the program wasn't amazing and worth it. I have a friend who tried all programs avaliable and end up using seq24 tongue . And he makes awesome stuff with it.

I'm not saying you don't have to buy it. I'm just saying that you can try another pieces of software, maybe (if your bugdet is low) ANOTHER option may suit for your particular needs. For example, i just use the modern computer for recording+FX's. No need to buy anything (on linux there are ardour and LADSPA fx's - among a lot, just naming some). Even better, you can donate to make ardour more awesome.

you always can try another FREE stuff like sunvox.

EDIT:

It seems that you're in linux (?).

sunvox run on it, neil sequencer look promising. and also, rosegarden, reaper (using WINE which adds support to VST's). Also you can route renoise via JACK and get lossless recording from it. Never tried, but is linux magic working on every app.

there are tons of open/free GOOD stuff.

I only use linux stuff, there's a nice multitracker which supports vst also (you have to compile and other wizardry): ardour.

I'm glad that this is coming out!

thanks in advance for all the work for putting all together guys!

some limited OPL wizardry would get you closer to that sound ? gotta  check the specs of the audio capabilities sometime soon.

EDIT:

Maybe good adlib musician could make it sound the same. Screamtracker3 comes with OPL3 and sample usage, but never got it working/too much interested tongue.

I really love this last posts, shows that people have real opinion and open attitude; which every artist should aim for.

Personally i think that mass media sucks; Someone is making decisions about what people should see, should buy and should need. When you take part of it with your honesty, with for passion for your art, you're being sucked, and left when your novelty is gone.

This channels of exposition don't absolutely care about the individuality of artists, they just want to show you on a simple way for massive audience entertainment. Anyways, if your aim as an artist is more pop-friendly and easy-listen, you can fit the bill easily. And get good things about it.

If BR1GHT PR1MATE is happy with the result, better deal with the shitstorm. You're the artist, you really shouldn't care at all about everything BUT what you want to make about this.

NEVERMIND

this release is amazing. I really like the sound design overall. Very distinctive. thanks for sharing!

Please don't do that distortion thing  to the tracks... can the submitter add the blacky touch in their own sound design? from their chip sources? I would agree on the mastering process for EQ and volume.

in wine on linux  Raster Music tracker works amazing. Using darwine or this will probably help using this atari pokey tracker on mac.

More Chiptune programs aimed for live performance, just like cynthcart. Using the entire platform capabilities making instruments more dedicated and customizable.

i have a little pair of  small monitors. Nothing fancy, but they work nice.

I'm planning on buying bigger ones(520), but for now this will work.

they sound really good for their price range.
