We simply do that while taking a shit.

agh, if i were in the UK i would buy one of these in a heartbeat. unfortunately international shipping prices are absolutely stupid hmm

well it would have to be pretty much a modified version of my table, just with the envelope. something like...

if you were to use the volume column in the table.

no, i use 1 gameboy actually. i hardly use kicks because i can't handle my arpy-ass melodies and them at the same time. that said, when I do use kicks or other deep percussion, i usually start the SC at 2 instead of 0 and work up to 7 quicker. i have GOT to get a second gameboy soon.

I actually use a table wrapped into an instrument using M commands to sidechain the whole song:

00: 00 00-M00 ---
01: 00 00-M11 ---
02: 00 00- ---
03: 00 00-M22 ---
04: 00 00- ---
05: 00 00-M33 ---
06: 00 00-M44 ---
07: 00 00-M55 ---
08: 00 00-M77 ---

something along those lines, depending on how much compression you want the sidechain to have.

I assume you mean well, but if I were him I'd take offense. :\

point taken, but compared to all other chiptune stores. let's face it, kitsch is the best-known (and according to the master list, most-trusted) of the bunch; he almost always has the staples for chiptune production (prebuilts, kits, carts, cables, etc.) at pretty reasonable prices. really the biggest way he doesn't compare is that he actually cares about who he's selling to.

i'd honestly use stuff that someone else has if it catches your eye, i'm not exactly the best at making this type of music (hell, i'm not exactly the best at making music in general!) doing what i can, but no guarantees on whether you'd like it or not.

depends if it's finished or not. if it's done, it's done, regardless of time spent.
if it's not finished, take as much time as necessary until it is.

edit: then again, what am i saying, i probably couldn't make along the lines of a 'good' game soundtrack for any price.
