I am Robert. I have tried making music many times in past years, but could never find an affordable(cheap) way to make music, so I consigned myself to screwing around as the drummer/bassist/singer for my school's Hard Rock Club. I recently founded a band, Anarchists In Suits, with my friends.

A couple of months ago I discovered chipmusic and became obsessed, and immediately started screwing around with as much equipment/software as I could get my hands on. I currently am in possession of an iPhone running nanoloop, a Gameboy with nanoloop 1.2, and a C64c and Atari 2600 that are gathering dust until I can save up enough of my allowance to get a program for them. I have made several crappy songs and two kind of cool songs. I also have made innumerable Daft Punk and White Stripes covers. I have recently started on a project that I hope will come out at least half as well as it sounded in my head.

Yay!

BUMPITTY BUMP BUMP! I talked to sylcmyk and he's in for a couple of tracks too... anybody else wanting in before the deadline?

I'm thinking, like next Sunday May 6th as THE DEADLINE. I've got some pretty sweet album art from Jake too, so everything is looking nice. It may take me a bit to get all the tracks leveld and mastered, but I'd like to get it out before June. sound good?

I like it. big_smile Can't wait!

Just found time to fill out that dang form.
Anyway, this will be my first live show to be going to! As long as the venue isn't 18+, because I wouldn't be able to go then. hmm
Anyway, love the name. big_smile Can't wait!

Yeah, I was thinking that if it was too difficult or too expensive to sync them together, I would just have one of them be computer control and use midi controllers for the others. I already have an old Yamaha synth that I've been playing along with my game boy on, I just didn't know if there was a way to control them by computer.

****Wasn't sure what to put this under, so I figured I'd put it in here.****

I was wondering what would the best way would be to sync a DMG, a 2600, and a C64c together, if that is at all possible. I know synthcart for the 2600 accepts midi with an adapter, and I know that I can probably use LSDJ or mgb with a usb-link cable adapter or arduinoboy for the DMG, but I'm not sure about the C64c, so I wanted to ask what you guys think would be the best way to sync it all.
In short, what I would like to know is
1) If it is actually possible to sync all of them together(I assume it is, but I'm not sure as I have only limited experience with midi).
2) What software (for the DMG, 2600, and C64c), cables, adapters, and/or equipment would be the best to use for this(as well as whether I should sync them all with a computer or with the arduino, or if I'd need to run it through a computer).
3) If possible, the best place to get this stuff, as I'm horrible at finding good prices. hmm Though this is mostly just me being lazy, so don't feel obligated.

Preferably this would all be on a budget of $200-250 (though this may be a ridiculous estimate, because, as I said, I have very little experience with midi and computer controlled instruments).

Thanks! big_smile

Seriously, this has been bugging me all weekend. *really bad ren & stimpy accent* We gotta get those results, man!

****Edit****
The Hell? Stupid computer. Anyway, good job Nickmaynard. big_smile Jolly good show!

This may have already been suggested, but I think it might be interesting to be able to sync to nanoloop for iPhone and allow mobile uploads. I personally think that would be pretty cool. big_smile

That would be pretty sweet. I always though that would be kind of cool to just upload songs straight off the phone. Weirdly it may actually be possible to do something like that, because nanoloop lets you export your song to the clip board.

Yeah, problem is it exports as a .wav, not an .mp3 or other cm.org compatible format. So either Oliver would have to make nanoloop able to export as an .mp3 or cm.org would have to make either .wav or .nan uploading compatible. :\ Unless anybody knows of an app that can convert .wav into .mp3 on the phone. *shrug* I don't know, I'm just rambling at this point.
