Yeah man. I can perfectly replicate that paintjob on an NES for ya.
Do it! PM me whatever you think it will take to get it done.
Thanks!
Seems like a major pain in the ass to do it like this, with lacquered Vermilion over matte black.

$400?
Amigakit have new old stock A1200s for £150 ($240), and Amigakit are fairly overpriced anyway I've been told, so second hand from somewhere else should be much cheaper. Or are they really that much rarer in the USA?
I can't find the site but they were selling the new old stock in the US for around $360 I think. Used ones on eBay have been going for around $200. I'll definitely check out Amigakit - sounds like a much better deal.
EDIT: I have been looking more and have seen a few pop up in the states for as low as $100 so I guess eBay is just the wrong place to look for one of these.
You are better of getting things second hand and on your own. If you can score a 1200 for about $50, everything else you need to start making music comfortably can be had for small money and a little tinkering and reading up. For example, instead of getting a hard disk you can get a CF card and an 2.5" IDE adapter for $10, a PCMCIA SD card reader and an SD card for another $10, and if you want to go further from there, you should also try getting a memory expansion second hand. Very few trackers (and games for that matter) benefit from processor expansions, anyway.
I've been getting around very fine with pretty much the setup I just described.

@aphasia thank you, I'll give that a try.
Question: When using an external MIDI keyboard/controller (via MC2), it seems that LSDJ will only allow audible responses to key inputs while the LSDJ sequencer it is running, and therefore key strikes are quantized in 16th note increments and sync'ed to the LSDJ clock (or whatever clock it is using). This means that if you simply want to use the DMG as a live instrument (using an external MIDI keyboard controller), you cannot avoid its quantization. I am assuming there is no other mode where you utilize the DMG chip without having the LSDJ sequencer running; is this correct?
EDIT
Did not RTFM!!!!
Sorry =\
Telefon Tel Aviv
i'm bored and will do it, pick any style
I made a Cubase SX panel for MSSIAH Monosynth. I'm sure it's only a matter of time till someone does one for Ableton.
Thank you. I use Cubase/Nuendo so this is a welcome treat!
yay
use the three sea shells
Yeah, they were cliche by 1989, but I assume they are great for performing and people seem infatuated by them.
Are there any that you recommend, are reliable, or affordable? Or is it more trouble than its worth?
I have one I was planning to paint... You feel the urge to choose colors and style??
I want!
I want Laromlab's head on it
It would be nice if it has new 72 pin, otherwise I'll do it.
Also wondering if any are floating around with custom paint, or custom work, like separated channels (if this works worth a shit).
Just something to add some spice next to this boring NES I have sitting here and to utilize a second MIDINES.
