By nix I mean just remove the P commands. It's taking away from the melody.

Are you using the P command?

Cheapshot's iPod app is pretty convenient... I heard there was gonna be an update soon too

What I never understood was if the patches I saved in it were made public or not. I have no problem with sharing the patches I make, but I didn't want to flood people with a ton of things they wouldn't really want.

No it's just for yourself. You have to e-mail cheapshot to submit them to the app.

I'm partial to the 1st.  The only thing that's taking away from it is your use of the Pitch command. Nix that pitch shifting altogether and you have yourself one hell of a melody. As far as the second melody goes, I'm not digging it. It's probably just my bias to underdeveloped instruments in LSDJ but I just think your first melody sounded much better.

I appreciate it thanks. heart

I'm surprised no one thought of it sooner.

I'm beginning to think the mod is pointless.

I finished my DnB-esque song though I think DnB loses something with a single DMG. Maybe I need to program better breaks. Thanks breakphase for the breaks .zip will definitely be rooting through these.

I have the majority of patches from the old patchbook on my LSDJguides YouTube channel. I do have some of the the one from the BRKbook. Haven't uploaded any in awhile but I do occasionally. There's 27 instruments so far. Shit, now that I've seen the total count I think I'll spend the day making some videos.

Can I be the Stoner/Doom metal of chipmusic?

That logo art work is legit. I'd love something like that. The free track sounds good, going to have to purchase it when I get paid tomorrow.

Working on a DnB track and was hoping that beat slicing guide was available somewhere other than 8bc. Oh well. Looks like I'm going to write different breaks differently. Also maybe someone can clear this up for me, what's the difference between chipbreak and just DnB? Other than the obvious usage of chip sounds.

From a graphic design perspective and a personal perspective I pretty much disagree with everyone on this entire thread. What you set out to do and what you've executed is perfect. This definitely has that punk rock feel to it. The shirt reminds me of the Casualties logo or the OLD Misfits logo. It's simple, grungy, and raw. Band t-shirts aren't billboards. While they do inadvertently advertise for an artist or band, people don't buy them for that intention so slapping a bunch of information on there is 1. cheesy (sorry, thebitman, just my personal opinion) and 2. redundant. I wouldn't buy a shirt if it featured a website address on it, unless I really liked a particular website but not for a musician. Let the shirt speak for itself.

As for the design I'd say build off this idea. The speaker bleeding off the edge of the Gameboy is great go with that. Make the D-pad bigger, skew the buttons and screen. Make it wild!

Bottom line t-shirts are for fans and this design is great. I'd buy a shirt for sure.

but seriously, drop some weekend at bernie's knowledge. it's neat stuff, sets the stage well for talking about movin' like berney, and most people have never ever heard of it.

Fixed that for ya.

Thanks to everyone who downloaded or took the time to listen and everyone who has commented thus far. The next release is already in the works and from the way it's sounding it should be a little different and hopefully better than this.
