If anyone is seriously looking for netlabels, I've been compiling a list of them here. Each has a short description of what they are looking for.

Oh man, this is sweet. Looking through now, thanks for sharing

Been seeing this album hyped lately, listening to the preview I can definitely see why. Now I'm pumped for it too.

I think the kernel and shell metaphor is still a good one. Music/End = Kernel while Tracker/Means to End = Shell

I dig that. There was another quote Kotaku posted by Brian Eno that reverberates a similar sentiement:

“Whatever you now find weird, ugly, uncomfortable and nasty about a new medium will surely become its signature. CD distortion, the jitteriness of digital video, the crap sound of 8-bit - all of these will be cherished and emulated as soon as they can be avoided. It’s the sound of failure: so much modern art is the sound of things going out of control, of a medium pushing to its limits and breaking apart. The distorted guitar sound is the sound of something too loud for the medium supposed to carry it. The blues singer with the cracked voice is the sound of an emotional cry too powerful for the throat that releases it. The excitement of grainy film, of bleached-out black and white, is the excitement of witnessing events too momentous for the medium assigned to record them.”

Also, I've been investigating the SoundCloud thing - but their limitation is in regards to how much "time" I'm able to store onto a respective account for anything audio wise, right? Like if I were to post a Super Nintendo music style arrangement that I've done, it'd have to be short on their end?

No, I think the limitation may be the total alotted time for music you can post. The actual track length doesn't matter I don't think. Just if they give you say 75 minutes, you could have 75 individual 1 minute long tracks or three 25 minute long tracks.

What I'm wondering and rechecking is that I hope that I'm not the only one in the process who's still determined to keep the Super Nintendo music style alive via arrangmements and such

No, there's a rather alive and active niche of artists doing this, myself included. I think one of the problems you're facing is that cover/arrangements only go so deep with the listener.

Full details of my "endeavours" around these parts are still undisclosed at this point, but I've been trying to solve this case and clear this controversy of mine up.

I also think you set yourself up for failure when you kick off a conversation like this. Just honest feedback

Oh hey this is me

Good dudes doing good things for chip/vgm. Fun interview, good article, 10/10 would bang
