thats interesting. I did get 47 ohm resistors from radioshack. is there a way to prevent it continuing to short, assuming that this was the cause?

So I recently wired in a front light on a Game Boy Color I had been putting off and I finally did it and put it together and now it wont turn on. I followed this guide:

and the Gameboy currently won't turn on at all. This includes no red light with fresh batteries, no screen, no sound, nothing.
Is there something I should've watch out for in wiring? Is there some way I've burnt out a piece of the chipset?
If anyone could help me troubleshoot I would appreciate the help. Thanks!

the problem is i believe this is a sound generated by trackers that is referred to as "chords" but its a cheap version of chords that are basically superfast arpeggios so You'll have a hard time replicating it if I'm correct.
