My guess is using paint pens, you may or may not want to clearcoat it afterwards

edit: this is a stupid little chip duo I've gotten myself into that's turning out really terrible.

I don't play shows

Make sure someone doesn't try to distract you to get shit for free

^Midi clocks are your best bet, but you'll need an Arduinoboy too.

I like the track, it's really chill and isn't too overpoweringly chippy, if you know what I mean smile

As for chipmusic, anything made with legitimate 8-bit sound chips is chipmusic to me. Sampling chip in other tracks isn't chip. It just has chip samples.

I like to record my tracks separately for mastering purposes (EQ mostly, I'm not huge on effects in general), maybe get an external/more stable clock, the gameboy's is kinda wonky sometimes.

I started writing music on an emulator, but now I use the atomic purple GBA that I've had since childhood.

Then you most likely don't have the newest version of the 64m smart cart.

Maybe not. I only bought it about a month ago though.

I wouldn't knock the Pocket! The new version of the Smart Cart works great with an MGB. No dimming of the screen when you play a song and the battery life seems to be very normal.

Whenever I start a song on my MGB, it makes the contrast go out of whack, and I have to adjust the contrast dial. Even with brand new batteries.

I have a MGB that I backlit/prosounded. Running LSDJ, it kills batteries in 2-3 hours. Prosounding it takes away some of the 'fizziness', but there's still a nasty whine that's left. Sure, the screen has fabulous contrast, but it's not worth it in my opinion.

Get a DMG, there's a reason it's the most popular smile

Oh, and I think that everyone's referring to the same cartridge, this one.

I have gameboy color with mini XLR connector for audio output it is much better

I ghetto rigged a cable that's 1/8 TRS on one side and XLR on the other. It's really useful.

this keeps happening to me. i emailed johan about it, he hasn't replied yet.

hopefully it's an easy fix

haha, i wish i could say the same

I've ended up deleting the last 10 or so song ideas I've had, because they don' turn out how I plan, or they don't turn out good enough. For me, the hardest part is converting the melody in my head into a tracker or other mediums.
