I saw on tumblr some sick cartridges made by a japanese guy but I'm not sure if I can post them because they're not mine.
anyway they are one Soundcloud-labelled cartridge and one Youtube-labelled cartridge, really tight

You just use the LSDPatcher to open your LSDJ rom and then patch the kit inside of it

Here ya go:

Please tell me there's a stu pickles sample in there.

Actually, that would be worth downloading.

I don't know it :<
they're actually mostly random but when I'll find more sounds I'll put them in there
I'll check out on my external HD, I had a lot more on it once

Hey!
I wanted to put some Youtube poop samples in my album so I started making a YTP kit.
Sadly the space in each kit wasn't enough so I had to split things up in different kits. I hope you enjoy anyway!
Files included are from CD-I games, Nintendo, the Super mario cartoon and various more. There are more than 40 samples now!!
I hope you enjoy it and that it will be useful for someone ^^

Download the YTP kits

Around the web (on youtube, for instance) you can find various patches of LSDJ basses: some are similar between them and some are really different (like the yah talking bass).

But seriously, experiments make the best instruments.
Anyway, I'll give you some of my thoughts:
The triangle synth set in manual sounds a lot cleaner than any other bass, while the saw and the square are a little more "raw"
Don't put the volume too high or low and for better results take the volume at different values of start and end. If the wave sounds kind of empty, try adding resonance (the Q value)
I still haven't exactly figured out what vshift does even if I have some kind of idea, but the most important thing is how it sounds to your ear!

Check if the versions of LSDJ are the same on cart and on emulator and even if they're the same try to format the cart and write LSDJ on it again.

Also do really fast w command changes in your table. Like, every step kinda fast. It creates a unique distorted sound if combined with the v command techniques that were mentioned.

That's exactly what I was doing right now!

Anyway, I guess your album was one of the places where I heard that too tongue

Woah woah guys you were quick!
So basically that's just a lot of vib'd sound.. that was really easier than what I expected! I thought it was some strange sweep value yikes

Thanks everyone for the tips, I will try the older lsdj versions to find which is the best.
Anyway a VF5 sound is enough distorted for me, I guess. I will experiment a bit with the sound and find ways to make it kewl enough

Also thanks to Skin Walker for his bass advice!

Hello!
I'm always searching for new sounds and patches to make better songs with better quality.
Even if I mostly try to find them myself I really can't understand how to make some particular sounds. In "We like BRK", Shirobon uses a crunchy sound I heard in some other songs too (you can hear it at 0.15). It sounds really glitchy and raw so I'm not sure it's a pulse sound, but hearing the wav bass in the background, I guess it is... But how am I supposed to make a sound like that? I really don't have a clue!!

If you guys have tips on how to make a sound similar to that, would you please share them? I get really bored of my standard square pulse sometimes.
Thanks!!

There is already a topic about this

anyway sometimes it feels good to listen to my tracks, and I always try to notice what sounds best and what not
