This was a very interesting experience, because it felt like I was just listening to one long 20 minute song. I was so confused. Felt like an elevator that was looping through time and space.

Edit: But still, it's an elevator that I've been riding over and over, lol.

well then. i can't get little sound dj because i got the man with the credit card to make a donation a while ago and i still don't have like any login details so the man with the credit card wants to cancel the payment (i only work with cash). and nanoloop only works in 4/4. and i like time signatures that aren't 4/4. like triple time.

In other words your dad (or BF?) thinks Johan is shady and wants to pull out?

Try contacting Johan with whatever details you can provide that show you've made a donation. But it usually takes a little while for him to process everything and get the login details out to you.

There must be something here that can help you.

Also, bgb.html is the readme file.

You want the LSDJ manager.  http://code.google.com/p/lsdmanager/

Let's you add and remove individual songs from a .sav as you please.  Super useful.

dude there's no way you missed the second post in this thread

I did not. I was just clarifying what exactly that program does and for what hardware it is intended, lest he or anyone else think that it gets the sav files directly from the Gameboy or something.

Edit: And this:

So if I'm not careful, I could end up with songs form different SAVs that I want to bring together into one cartridge.

confused me, because I thought that was what he was trying to do, but he says "If I'm not careful" which implies that it's not what he wants to do. Just mixed my head all up.

Edit: I was also trying to kind of introduce him to the process ahead of time, so he'd be a bit more familiar with it when reading the instructions.

I definitely know that you can have more than one.

This is my save/load screen:

Each line is a different song. All from one lsdj.sav

Edit: The answer is in the manual, and I suggest you brush up on the wiki http://littlesounddj.wikia.com/wiki/Little_Sound_Dj as well.

http://littlesounddj.wikia.com/wiki/Little_Sound_Dj btw

LSDManager allows you to extract individual songs from a lsdj.sav file that's on your computer, and then load them into another lsdj.sav file.

For it to load automatically, the .sav has to have the same name as the .gb file.

I don't know how knowledgeable you are, but it seems like you're under the impression that you can only have one song per sav? I think you can have up to 16 songs per sav. Maybe I'm missing something.

If your lsdj.sav has been renamed, try copying your lsdj.gb and changing it's name to the same thing that your renamed lsdj.sav is, and load that rom.

And don't just rely on the autosave. Save your stuff deliberately from the load/save menu of lsdj.

My all-time favorite non-video game chip song is 8Bit Betty's "A Quick Hello". Just gets me right *there*. "Nikoma's Theme" is a close second.

Wow, I never would have guessed that DMG and GBC had different tempo capabilities.
Since I am currently unable to get to BGB at the moment I'd like to ask... does having the emulator in GBC mode vs. DMG mode alter the sound output? I'm told that this is the case with VBA (I don't know if it's just placebo or what, but I thought I heard a difference when I tried switching between them), but is this the case with BGB also?

I didn't even have a chance to dream about going to a blip to begin with, and it's already gone sad

Lol, I likey. Looks like something that'd be on one of those little VideoNow thingies. I wonder how it would look at half frame-rate.

And if everybody is listening to each other's music, our music will start to be influenced by the music of our peers big_smile.

Wow, I did not know it was possible to make actual polyphonic 4-channel music with Trippy-H (stupid youtube demos and stuff). Cool.
