O man. I missed that. Red flag noted.

I thought I would drop the video off to a group of people who really appreciate Chiptune in hopes of getting help with promotion for my friend, myself, and chiptune all together so at any rate.

There might be a paradox or two in that statement somewhere... =\

Does your friend have any other chiptunes out there on the internets?

Well of course placement isn't much to do with purpose, but isn't having a backlight switch kinda silly since you can't see the screen when you shut it off?

To save battery, and can't you see it in sunlight like the good old days?

Ugh... the movie was too boring for me to stay and hear the music... the music was too boring to keep me interested in the movie.

sad

I don't know... it just didn't engage me on any level. If the music was accompanied by some sweet Hero Core-esque pixel action, or the movie was accompanied by some sweet dramatic action music, then It'd be cool. In that respect, I kind of agree with bigbadfun.

The vid and the music aren't a good match for each other in my opinion.

Maybe throw some arps into the channel you're using for the kick (on the unused beats) to give it a little more umph. To keep it interesting. The tunes are good. They just need more in the background.

Edit: See, I just listened to the tune while staring at a screenshot of Ninja Gaiden and it was just great.

Flower for the ps3 has the kind of generative music based off of player/environment interaction that i think you're explaining, minus the ability to create new sounds. That'd be a pretty cool feature, i suppose.

It's like "Grandmother Willow: The Game"... Or was it "Pocahontas' Dead Mother: The Game"?

Or..." Bambi's Dead Mother: The Game"...

It's just like that. Listen with your heart, and you will understand.

Also, there's some good stuff in there. I especially liked the last few tracks.

There's some notes that fall outside of the chord structures they're played behind in some of the tracks that just kept bugging me, though. And some of the beats that kicked in were busier than I expected them to be.

Still, I enjoyed it.

Are you using a default kit sample for your kick? If you are, you could get more power if you do a custom pitch bent kick on your pulse or wav channel instead of using the samples. Either that or lower the envelope on all the other instruments to the level of the kick sample, and then just record at higher volume or normalize/amplify it after recording.

Personally, I like simple lead instrument. Not every lead needs complicated table effects, imo.

The use of dynamics in the noise channel is quite nice.

It's really annoying. They need to move the Download button up a little bit, because it always gets scrolled off the bottom of the screen.

Anyway... yeah, this one had some good tracks, but it also had a lot of annoying (IMO) tracks, or tracks with incessant annoying riffs. =[

But still... it had some good tracks too. And at least the annoying ones were pretty technical.

YEEESSSSSS PUMPED UP!

This music is very manly. Makes me want to skateboard and bust my elbows and kneecaps.

Those arps are so aggressive. I haven't heard them done with no volume sweep before (except my own stuff when I forget to use volume a swept instrument, lol). I can't decide if they are aesthetically pleasing to me, though... Maybe I'm just an old man.

Good stuff. What instruments do you play? What's your main?

They don't make LSDJ carts anymore. If you find one used, it might have the previous user's songs on it or something. However, some flash cart vendors can have LSDJ flashed onto it along with a sav file (if you send it to them or link them to it.)

Some LSDJ artists have given out .sav files with their albums (Auxcide, for example), and If you really want to have some example songs preloaded on your cart, I'd suggest using one of those.

That 2-prong/3-prong grounder thing would be totally pointless for him, if anyone took a second to notice he's in RUSSIA they don't have the same power outlets so showing him a thing designed for US power outlets is pointless.

YAY. YOU FIRST MAN WHO TOTALLY RIGHT ABOUT OUTLETS!

Yeah. Well... that's not the REASON I said I couldn't see how it'd be useful for you... but I did say that it wouldn't be of any use for you.

I see. You were trying to say "I don't have that kind of outlet here". Gotcha.

So... I guess... no more talk about the grounder thing. neutral

Just one last tip so I'm not totally useless: Be sure, if you're using microphones, to position it away from the computer so it doesn't pick up the noise of the computer fans and stuff.

I think i don't have ane outlet here

I mean a power outlet. Thing you plug your a power cord into to get power to the device.

So, like I said, I don't see how that would help. How does removing the ground help with grounding? And is it possible to ground a device with only a two prong power cord?
