Excited to hear it as always.

Layering (and resampling) is an absolute *must* for sample-based Amiga tracking.

Updated with new items. More posted very soon.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also, eqing before sampling will help exaggerate the aliasing on metal guitars. wink

OK, thx for the tip anyway. Looks like having A1200 made me too soft, hahah. wink

I know the feeling!

@Desumate: This is going to sound like a cop out answer, but do what sounds right. Sometimes higher rates are good if you want to sample hihats/etc. I've been known to crank the high-end while sampling at low rates only to play them at the "hidden" (wraparound) 8th/9th octave for crunch.

I have always avoided 8ch mode because of volume issues/timing/no MIDI, etc. This is understating the obvious, but you can always improve memory usage by sampling at low rates when necessary or looping small waveforms and shaping them with either the synth editor or player commands.

Also, player command "C" is your friend if delays are needed. wink

But how am I supposed to set my drink on a cassette tape?

Octamed only used chip memory and did not start using a configurable fast memory option until Octamed 6 (I think) and Octamed SoundStudio. All Amiga trackers were this way until Octamed Soundstudio from what I understand. Don't quote me on the last bit.

Just so I'm on the same page, is it just a click/pop noise?

I hope this is sarcasm.

Who said I paid the prices you listed? Did you read my initial post? I don't have time to research, but thanks for your input. PM's are cool too you know.

I'll adjust prices, add photos and add a Yamaha TX81Z over the coming days. Possibly an Ensoniq EPS-m and Casio RZ-1 as well.

@vile: Yeah, I'm now willing to sell separately. I had a pending sale for the lot, but this fell through this morning. Give me 24 hours to update everything.

Yeah, we've talked at length about this and I agree 110%. Prices in the states are absolutely absurd. I actually went to look at 500 prices after I posted and I have to admit A500 prices are creeping up too. An Amiga shouldn't be any more than $75 *maybe* $100. Even then, you'll have to make another residual investment of $75-$100 at least.

Two years ago an A500 could be had for $20. Not so much now. Having said that, Individual Computers is a great brand.

As far as Amiga music usage - buy a cheap netbook, stick with an emulator and run it through a cheap Aphex 104 or something. Same difference.

Awesome. The prices of other Amigas have surged into ridiculous territory. 500s are relatively cheap.

Well this looks fun as hell.
