Also everyone keeps saying knife city, and knife city is great but he really only has like one or two dubstep songs, or maybe another one with a wubby breakdown

I don't think anyone is outright claiming he makes dubstep, his tunes as of late are just very experimental with LSDJ and it's capabilities for bass

COME TO ATL MAN UGH!!! No one comes to ATL but the guch boyzzzzz

Sup yall, I'm Girl Posse from Atlanta, Georgia. I make progressive-kinda-sorta-dancey tunes and I'm releasing my EP at the end of next month so look out for some sick ass tunes! I'll be listening to all of your stuff to, if you ever want to collab on something just let me know!

I agree the first time I heard Knife City's Slam Dunk Lifestyle I was like "Whoa....you can DO that with LSDJ? I gotta try this"

me being part of the newer generation of kids and electronic music, enjoy dubstep. now i am aware that a lot of you on here aren't exactly into this type of electronic music, but im not here to start any flame wars big_smile i just want to know if anyone knows of and or is a good chipstep artist that i can look into and follow and become a fan of and eventually stock them and be the creepiest person i can be 0_0

chipstep?

why?

people like bass and if a gameboy is involved they're gonna throw "chip" in there somehow. Although applying that logic to any other synth would be like...KeyboardStep....ComputerStep...s'pretty convoluted

If you want to throw my latest tune up there go ahead dude!

I like that analogy a lot chunter, hyping up the crowd can make an entire night. One of my personal favorite clips of Knife City right here, Luke is a MASTER at getting the crowd pumped http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AsqqGho … re=related

If I hadn't surfed 4chan from 2007-2009 I would have thought this was the most insane babble i had ever read lol ^

Man CLASSIC clip right there, brings me back to being like...6 years old haha, can you believe they only got worse and worse??? WHO WOULD'VE THOUGHT THAT'D HAPPEN?!

No but seriously, I feel for the introverted. My friend Daniel had a show recently and it was his first live performance and he was very stiff, great tunes but man I would have liked to see him get the crowd going. Guess that's just what I personally like in a show though, high energy and crowd involvement.

The question at hand is....Can you use dub-like-bass but not be hacky and dubsteppy? I'd like to fit into that category somehow because bass is honestly really fun to play with in LSDJ

vouching here for the 802

Awesome! I'm going to get one next paycheck! Then I can be a real life knob turner smile

Oh I completely agree with you an0va. "doing stuff" is mostly picked up on by other performers, and stage rpessence is everything when performing pre-tracked electronic music. I totally agree with you but the performer has to be hyped for me to be in to it. I went and saw some trance and this guy was zoned out just turning knobs every once in a while rocking back and forth, and occasionally meekly saying "...are you ready?" like he knew what he was supposed to say but just didn't have his heart in it. So that particular show was VERY boring, good tunes but a party...there was not

I just have my gameboy and a speaker :C My DMG is kinda dying on me now though, I'm super depressed. What's a good mixer to get?

The Behringer Xenyx 802 is pretty popular with micromusicians. I love mine.

Sick! It isn't even expensive!!! I thought mixers were like....Hundreds upon hundreds of dollars!! I'm so hyped right now haha
