And I make "Chiptune+Rock" music, but I'm not "a band" and my album isn't out yet so nobody knows I'm the best: http://sammulligan.bandcamp.com/album/l … tch-single

I think it's worth noting that "lame" is also discriminatory language, as well as the R-word, which I see thrown around a lot and it always makes me cringe.

Here is me!

Hi all!

I'm opening up for The World Is Square, a Square-Enix tribute band this Wednesday November 21st at Oscar's Pinatas in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. I'll be playing for 45 minutes or so, it's 21+, and I've heard that Oscar's has pretty good mexican food. I start close to 9:00 PM, and it's free! This is the first show of my recent decision to only play shows at restaurants that serve burritos.

I will play this, along with a bunch of other songs: http://sammulligan.bandcamp.com/album/l … tch-single. The songs will not all be played at the same time, but separately, which is something that I have noticed most people prefer.

STEADY C! Not instrumentals, more like a "How To Do Chip Hop" EP.

Some people need drinking songs every night!* Thanks for your help with this, James, it sounds awesome!

*If you are one of those people, you might have a problem.

Has anyone used a Mega Memory Card to load .SAVs on the Drag'n'Derp? Is there any reason that would not work?

*edit - In case anybody else was curious about this, I tested it out and it worked fine. The Mega Memory Card restored a .SAV that I had backed up from one of my old carts onto the D'n'D with no issues at all. Thanks for making this, it makes my life so much easier!

ARGH!

Thanks Peter! That means a lot!

This is in a week! Is anyone else going?

Since I like you, against my better judgement I am sharing an early mix/vocal take of a song that will be on my EP - for the next 3 minutes (and then I am taking it down) please don't distribute - it's a secret! https://dl.dropbox.com/u/40138244/Sam%2 … rapvox.mp3

Countdown starts.... NOW! 11:08 PM (est)
11:09...
Get it quick, it's a super limited web release so limited it's crazy...
11:10...

11:11.
and now it's gone! If you really want to hear it, come to the show! I hope I see you next week!

Yeaaaah, "Fat Slide" is funky! "Trooper" is also very cool. Nice stuff, ui!

Thanks guys! I'm really excited about it!

I wish I had more of my music ready to share with you all, but I haven't finished recording many of the songs that I play live yet... If you'd really like to hear more to help with your decision-making process on whether or not to attend, send me a message or an e-mail and I can send you a couple demos of some of my newer songs. Or you can always just come to see the other bands, because they are awesome.

Hey Boston-area folks! I am part of this awesome show on October 10 at the Middle East Upstairs if you're gonna be around... it's not 100% chip music, but it is 100% radical. I (Sam Mulligan) sing goofy rock songs with my guitar and LSDJ/LGPT on the leads/bass/rhythm. Come say hi!

That looks like it would require one of these "security bits" to open.

http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/security-bits

*edited - I think it would need one of the 3.8 mm, which don't seem to be in stock with Kitsch right now...
It looks like nintendorepairshop.com has them! http://www.nintendorepairshop.com/produ … rity-Tool/

I've heard some people can get these to open by making your own bit, by heating up a pen case or something made of plastic, pushing the hot plastic onto the screw, taking it off and then letting it harden. I tried that and did not have much success, but it might be worth a shot if you need it open today.

I love the way it sounds and the buttons on my drum machine stopped working. Also, bandmates kept moving away, and it's an economically efficient way of having a fuller, more band-like sound.
