People have just been using this thread to rant about newbies in general. Everything is not necessarily about you. If a negative attribute doesn't apply to you, then show it by posting in other threads and proving how great of a guy you are. That's just a universal rule of the internetz.

Anybody who analyzes every single sentence to point out the flaws in each word will not last long. I know, because I do it irl. And people who incessantly defend themselves just end up escalating whatever issue it is into fire and brimstone. I know this because I have relatives who do such. It's better to just let it be, pretend they didn't say it to you ("I know she di'int say that to me!" *z-snap*), and move on. The main people who get picked apart, chewed up and spit out are the ones who are their own white knights.

I hope you take whatever you've learned from this thread and use it wisely.

I'm just gonna skip the song and tell you to learn how to take criticism. Not everything's gonna go your way, and you just have to accept that. Besides, you yourself asked for criticism!
If your tune doesn't sound good to others, then you don't need to take it to heart. It's criticism, not a rulebook. Learn from it, follow the guidance people are offering, and just don't get all up-in-arms over something you asked for.

My first songs were terrible, and I was kinda lucky to have an asshole on the line telling me what I did wrong, instead of sugar-coating the situation and telling me that it just "needs work in a few spots".

Yeah, I was thinking that maybe I was a little too harsh; I was only trying to help you integrate smoothly into this place. I'm just pissed at some other things right now and that carried over into this, usually I'm a bit nicer. I interpreted those responses as negative, not jokingly, sorry.

Also I'm 15, but yes I do dislike most other teenagers these days. I guess that makes me a misanthrope?

It is a great place to learn if you know how to not sound uninformed. You came here to get constructive criticism and you got constructive criticism. The phrase doesn't have the word "criticism" in it just because. These guys told you they didn't like your song, but they explained why they didn't like your song. Bashing excludes that last part.

As for your kind not being welcome, yes, you are correct. 13-year-olds (I'm assuming you're around that age) that sound exactly like 13-year-olds are not welcome because honestly, they're annoying. However, 13-year-olds that sound mature enough to have an intelligent discussion are welcome here. Those lols and XDs? Cut it out. It makes you look and sound very childish.

You don't need more stuff to make one gameboy not sound empty. Listen to Zef. Mind blowing. Actually, go get his album and .sav files for some tips.

also, they may sound mean and unnecessarily rude to you, but these guys know their stuff. To the point where I won't even listen to this because I trust their judgment. They've probably covered everything I'd say. But that wouldn't be fair so I'll listen to this soon and give you some more detailed advice.

EDIT: but seriously this was all filler no killer; your beats need work and you need to go above the C4 because everything sounded the same

EDIT: If that last bit was unclear, I'm not talking dynamic range (which you probably could also use) but your notes were never in different octaves or anything, or if they were, the melody wasn't compelling enough for me to notice
