Hey

I'm doing a compilation with music from the early days of LSDj. So I'm looking for songs from around 2000-2002.

Who do you remember that were active at that time? I've already listed some of the artists at https://chipflip.wordpress.com/2017/05/ … j-artists/ but if you have any more information that's much appreciated!

(The plan is to make a cassette/download release on protoDATA later this year)

Ok. Go!

Please note that people who use Super Commands have been denied entrance.

Saab made some pretty hot data arpeggios in 1967, on a computer they built themselves. Check out Julvisor and Wurfelspiel here: http://www.datasaab.se/D21_D22_musik/musik.htm

It's a pretty complex use of arpeggios, and not exactly instrument-based. But iirc this was the earliest example of computer arpeggios that I found when I was looking around.

Hey guys, my new 12" vinyl on Data Airlines is open for pre-order now.
The music is based on C-64 and TR-808, which I managed to defMON-synchronize thanks to Scannerboy. \o

If you buy the vinyl you also get bonus tracks; 15 songs in total, about 1 hour of music.

Here's a video of defMON synced to a TR-808 (with a kind of odd time signature).
The screen, however, is out of sync with the C-64. smile

29 songs from 2004-2007 collected on one cassette/download, with typewritten (!) design by Lord Nikon.

Many of these songs went offline during the Great Netlabel Depression of 2011 but have now been Digitally Demastered for the new cassette era.

Enjoy!

Thanks!

Artworks by iLKke, and we're working on some pretty interesting projects atm....

Oh and just FYI - not all sounds are SID of course, but with defMON the SID goes into some next level weirdness...

_| ̄|○ is sort of dubby electro ambient techno, eh. 90 minutes of Commodore 64 spiced up with other sounds. Mostly improvisation-based, but edited to be not as boring as my other improvs. big_smile

There's plenty of recommendations in the 8-bit reggae book too. Mortimer Twang made some amazing C64 and Amiga reggae/dub/jungle stuff. Buggy Dub and Amanda could be things to look for. Cow'p might be considered reggae too?

And here's some dub stuff I put out:
