May I first ask how that can help when I have replaced the full back PCB without any luck of solving it?

You could try replacing the wheel potentiometer for the volume control. I tried it and it worked for myself so I don't know give it a shot.

I dont have a pitch mod, only backlight, biversion and RCA prosound.

Or you could clean the existing one by getting some rubbing alcohol into the wipers with a Q-tip and rolling it back and forth a few dozen times. That might do it, I've had the wipers stick in a couple of mine before.

Wipers?

Not that I can tell. there aren't any bare wires that can touch anything.

I'm losing my right stereo channel when I close the DMG, I tried switching pcb's on both the back and front with no luck. Could somebody tell me how I can fix it or at least how it can happen (precisely), because I'm at a loss.

@ GoingHam:
Well there is nothing visually wrong with them. It has all the looks of a broken wire (from my experience with cheap headphones), only working sometimes when holding it. And all buttons still work on all of them.

@2PLAYER:
I've already tried that, but didn't work. Also it isn't loose.

@soultron
Even the almighty fix couldn't seem to fix it...

All of them have problems with the front PCB (and 1 failing back pcb, but thats real no problem). So after 4 failures backlighting, biverting and (rca)pro-sounding a dmg Iwanted to know if I could make a working one with the parts I have.

what I have:
-1 front PCB with a massive line on the screen (horizontally), likely happened while I was removing the foil for the backlight (I overshot with a Stanley knife, because I couldn't get it off).
-2 front PCB's with a (what seems to be (I only go something out of it after moving the front pcb around while it was on)) a worn out ribbon cable. ( one without a right channel and the other without visuals) (both seem to be from putting them to much in and out of the slot)
-1 with a torn screen cable (A bit to rough while cleaning the glue off behind the screen)

So can I make a working DMG with this (preferably really easy and short term, because of vacation tomorrow)?

It's part pixel art (3D Mesh with a pixelart texture). For my current game project (http://tianshia.tumblr.com/).

What is the difference between the super gameboy, gamecube gameboy adapter and the gameboys? And is the gamecube adapter prosound-able and is that even needed?

And yet again it seems to be the ribbon cable... (time to find a new game gameboy)

It seems to be something with the front PCB (changed the back one and removed all mods), but my other front PCB's have a wornout ribbon cable it seems (on an image if I keep the front a certain way) and the other a distorted screen (I think because the part above the second screen screw is torn).

Did you insulate the inside of the RCA jacks? Maybe something inside is shorting the right channel when you close it.

Unlikely, because the headphone jack also has that problem and when I switchup the cables it also changes channel.

Well the soldering seems to be fine

That fixed it, but still have a distorted screen... (But with another front PCB that had the same problem, it worked like a charm). And after putting it together again I yet again lost the right channel (in jack and RCA). I really don't have any luck.

I do have a right channel, but only without the top 2 screws from the case

I fixed it (replaced the front PCB), but now I somehow get a biverted the screen (without a biversion chip) and on one side is distorded. and also the screen is only really visible on the lowest contrast. (I might have been a bit wild with removing the film, because all the glue was still there)

Do you live in Utrecht? I could take a look for you smile

Well Kampen (in de buurt van Zwolle)

apparently I had wired left to ground and ground to left. So I fixed that, but now right doesn't work....
