I have a vague memory that some japanese dude made a simple FM synth.
It's pretty fun to mess with for drone stuff. It was actually supposedly only able to run on the GBC, but I changed the extension and it runs fine.

Guys, I think BR1GHT PR1MATE went on all our computers when we were in the shower.

i don't even mean figuring out the instruments in LSDJ, i mean 30 seconds of written dubstep is too much for me. it get so boring and repetitive so fast.
I didn't mean figuring out instruments, either. I meant writing dubstep in general (was just specifying lsdj). I've tried starting to write wub more than once, and ended up somehow getting completely sidetracked and turning the first 20 seconds of actual chipstep into eventual house-y 4-on-the-floor shit (and just using any of the wave channel bass wobble for that, instead). Attention and focus issues kick in real fast when I try writing a song that has to live with being a dubstep song.
i still don't understand how any one can write dubstep for more than 30 seconds

I was there for the 8bc years and the "hei cn i sticker ur bewbz pl0x" incident. But I was thinking of more of a "local Bit Shifter admits he cheated on his wife" type deal.
I was thinking about selling my balls so I could afford to start the ultimate chip label/festival, pay a promotion company, fly in/out artists, build a professional studio, and buy a white DMG. Is that serious enough?
I said it before; I'll say it again: someone needs to die

an inaccuracy
There are different paths to the same conclusion.
So someone said some shit that's factually and demonstrably incorrect, and you want to know what we think?
No; I wanted to know why you think what you think. I didn't post expecting, "Gee, I wonder if anyone on a website called chipmusic.org will support an inaccuracy that puts down chipmusic".
All due respect to your friend, if there is any... Arguments like this are just silly. I agree with Nick Maynard that it's not really worth having this discussion if your friend isn't going to be a part of it.
I wasn't looking to be a messenger or something. My friend stopped talking about it, and the concept was still in my mind, and I wanted to hear some chipfolk's food for thought on the topic. It's the reason I said, "discuss", instead of, "debate".
