...and if you are going to buy a cart, demo it on ROM first - I had a cart and sold it as I didn't find it user friendly in the slightest.

NICE! I think I'm in, I'll dig around and submit something.

I was given a duplicator a few years ago and have done a few short run releases before for myself (I just released a remix cassingle - check it out in the releases section of this forum) and also for the Monome community - (mcrpmusic.bandcamp.com/ - it's MCRPv13 that I released on cassette). Love the format, but hate the work of putting out physical goods, visiting the post office every few days, ordering more cassettes than you need to account for duds, etc, etc...

Anyhow it'll be nice for someone else to do all the work and me to do all of the music for once! big_smile big_smile big_smile

Hello!

Last night a limited edition cassingle full of remixed glitchy chiptunious goodness dropped all over the bandcamps. It's currently appearing as SOLD OUT, but I think that once I've fulfilled the opening orders I should have some left, so WATCH THIS SPACE. In the meantime, download it: It's free if you enter "0" at the checkout.

I've just sent a box of the cassingles to Alone (known on these forums as Liquid Calm) so he will have them in time for his gig at Grok Day (http://grokday.wordpress.com/) in London, this weekend. If you're going, make sure you get your hands on a copy.

Also, seriously, if you're going to grokday you NEED to see Alone's set. He is an inspirational mad scientist when it comes to electronic music as well as being one of the nicest blokes you'll ever meet. If you can't get to Grok Day, then yell at your local promoter until he books him to play at a venue near YOU.

Anyhoos! The link to the cassingle! >>> http://kineticmonkey.bandcamp.com/album … er-remixes

AI WIL PAE 1MILLIUN INTERNETZ.

It's such a conflict - In one way I bet you could get great traffic from that site even if it just forwarded onto an artist's bandcamp or whatever. In another way, what a shameless way to get traffic to a site.

So this guy, James, off of promoting gigs says to me "Hey, do you want to play a set at this cool little retro gaming event we're putting on called Gameapalooza? We're doing a CD to sell at the event too!" So I was all like, "Yeah, bro, sounds cool." And he was all like "Sweet." So I played the event and did this couple of tracks as exclusives for the Gameapalooza CD. But then I was all like "It's a shame that all of my adoring fans that weren't at the event won't be able to get their hands on the really rather awesome tracks that I recorded." And THEN I was all like "It's Christmas!" too. So I uploaded the tracks onto Bandcamp for you all to download and dance to when you've finished rocking out to that totally zawesomes Mariah Carey Christmas song. HERE THEY ARE.

Also, the other artists that played at the event should totally upload their tracks too. TOTALLY.

Good afternoon, fellow geeks.

My non-purist alter ego released a new album yesterday.

Here's the lead single: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MSlxf-2iUc4

and it's on a pay-what-you-want download at http://www.kineticmonkey.co.uk

Check it out, ya?

Waaaaaaaagh! <-An exclamation of excitement.

If you live in a hundred mile radius and aren't attending this event, I expect your signed apology and resignation from the chipmusic community within 7 working days of non-attendance.

Also, who's starting the moshpit during Tommy's set?

The Cardiff Retro Party was so much fun back in April, and this sounds even more amazeballs.

Properly looking forward to this.
