I have seen other people open the tri-wing with a small flat screwdriver. You could try that. Although it will probably strip the screw. Anyway. When you can, you should open it. I had a search and I can't find any other internet threads on this topic, so it is difficult to pinpoint this. I also am not much help with this anyway. I'm getting my first DMG in a couple of weeks, and I have never taken a look inside of one. Just remember that you may be sidetracked when trying to mod, due to problems you may face. It wouldn't hurt to spend some extra hours just sussing everything out, making sure that everything works properly.

Have you tried opening it yet? It could be what you said, a loose wire. If you are going to mod it anyway, why not take a peek now? You might find other things inside the DMG. Just give it a try. As I said, it might be something really simple, but you won't know until you open it.

they had google on 1989!?
I think he means that a doodle that represents April 21, 1989 should be made to resemble that little app/widget/emulator link.

kitsch isn't the only dude selling ems carts. nonfinite, dj transformer (I'd highly recommend him!), plenty of other dealers around!!
I knew that, it's just that my cousin and I have bought all of our carts from Kitsch, so I know that he's a good dealer. Also, I haven't really bothered with looking in other places for carts, even though I know that you can get some in other places.

Walter's right. Making a WTB thread would work, but Kitsh says that they will get them back in stock in the next few days.So you should just hang out. That's all you can do really.

I've gone ahead and bought a GB, so there's no need for this discussion really. Thanks to the game recommendations

^ This. He's right. Not much else you can do. Actually, maybe try using LSDJ on a GameBoy flashkart. GBA is compatible with GB karts, so, as stated in the LSDJ Wiki (http://littlesounddj.wikia.com/wiki/Little_Sound_Dj_FAQ), you could try and use LSDJ off a GB kart. You can buy them here: http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/usb-64m-smart-card. It's just an idea. It might work better because you aren't using an emulator, but it might not. Try using the LSDJ Wiki to dig around a bit.

I have been using LSDJ off of the LameBoy emulator for the R4DS. I was told that you get a nicer sound using the original console. But, I, also wanting to collect handhelds to use for gaming, was wondering whether the GameBoy Colour would be better to buy.
Would there be downsides to this though?
Would LSDJ still work without an emulator?
Would LSDJ sound better on the GB or will it be about the same?
Also, if possible, where could I buy one or the other in the UK area that is in good condition?
Which would you recommend?
Oh! And any games worth buying, other than the Pokémon games?
*Note: I have a GameBoy Advance SP that I can play GameBoy Colour games on. So, ya. Just want to know anyway. User reviews and all.
Thanks

You probably know this, but you just have to fiddle around with the Synth page. It's like the #1 rule of music. Tweak, fiddle, change and experiment. Good luck
*Edit: If you go into the LSDJ manual online, you can find details about the various sections of LSDJ. It is annoying to look through, but incredibly useful.

Took it. Good survey. A little long. Sometimes you didn't really leave some elbow room, but otherwise, good job, I hope it helps

Re: Internet Radio Fairness Act (7 replies, posted in General Discussion)
As far as I know, artists start small. Therefore, small time artists, despite being cheated by radios, are just thankful that people are listening to their music.
But I agree, you shouldn't limit your music because someone will be unhappy. Music artists aren't getting payed much as it is now, so completely cutting their music because it's less popular is like not feeding a nerd, just because he isn't a jock or some popular kid in the world.

Topic: Hi-Hat/Snare/Kick/Symbol Combinations? (40 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Hi,
Using LSDJ on the GameBoy here, and I was looking for good drum combinations on the White Noise and Kick Drum front. If I spend a while, I could probably find a cool rhythm, but I also want to see what other people come up with. I guess I just want to start a list of drum rhythms that people can refer to.
I was thinking of a fast tempo (165ish) and a sort of fast, funky percussion mix that would suit a quick tune. I have one, in case people are interested. Just to start the list and all.
