I work around the clock 24/7 on these chip projects, and LSDJ in general...thanks for those of you that are struggling like me and offer great help!

If you work so hard, then how come you started a thread where you expected people to share their lsdj patches with you, into which you put nothing, and then complained when no one wanted to help you?
And now you want people to tab out songs for you?
More like "I do nothing around the clock 24/7 on these chip projects, and LSDJ in general."

I love Ableton, really is a bit of a steep learning curve though. Just watch some youtube tutorials, learn how all the built in stuff works, and don't give up! smile

You don't deserve any help.

HEY DUDE STEP OFF.
My sounds are too 1337 for you. I'm not sharing.

EmThree, I'm having that.

Problem is though, a lot of the music uploaded here is a work-in-progress, where artists are looking to get constructive criticism/people's opinions on where the song should go next. We'd be left with a comp of unfinished song.
A better idea might be, nearer the time of putting together the comp, people can submit a track via the forums to be considered, and then the mods group together and choose their favourites to be released.

I read somewhere that 4 AAs in a DMG last about 30 hours.
As far as I know, the backlight doesn't decrease this limit all too much, so I suppose you could estimate how long's left on your batteries like that.

No! More drunken banter! More MC Custard! More Shonen abuse!! ;D

About a year ago I saw BSK, gwEm/Counter Reset, Jellica and Cerebral Scars play a gig at a tiny pub in Newcastle, was absolutely off the hook big_smile
Really love seeing CS live, seeing what new intense sounds he's managed to spawn with his NL and KP3, absolute beast.
gwEm and Counter Reset are great to watch too, rockin' the guitar alongside the DS and drum machine.
And of course, BSK is just a total nutjob once the gameboy's switched on, mad love big_smile
Also, Jellica had this crazy box thing he kept screaming into, which then echoed what he'd said and glitched it out and stuff, which made for good crowd interaction. (At least, between him and Calmdownkidder ;D)

Brilliant gig, one of the most interesting chip shows I've been to.

The trick with the L command is using the vibration type. Change it from HF/\/ to the type you want. The best for Legatto is sine, cause it changes smoothly. :3

I don't think slide or pitch commands are affected by the vibrato waveform. HF/non-HF, yes.
Oh, and there's no sine. Saw, Triangle and Square. wink

Sine = triangle.

Think it might be time I uploaded something then smile

Student loan that never gets spent on my education.
Also, keeping an eye out for people on ebay that realise obsolete video game consoles are practically worthless, not antiques.
(Seriously, I saw a clear DMG for $130 on there yesterday, what are they thinking?!)

Didn't you actually say that you wanted no likes system when the music uploading was mentioned?

I don't. I see two options for making a site interesting enough for me (i e finding music i want to listen to), and that is 1) likes, 2) gated quality control. I was hoping there might be a third option.

Who gets to decide what's good enough to make it to the site then?
Maybe you can be in charge of that?

Originally the idea of the whole 8bit mediasharing community website was so that you could get constructive criticism from like-minded peers, not just to promote your own music. I know for a fact if I asked my friends what they thought of my songs, they would tell me it was good for fear of hurting my feelings, but on the likes of chipmusic and 8bc, it's encouraged to say what parts of the track you like, what could be better and what you think is missing, thus making the author's song better.
And that's my favourite part.
