My Gambatte version is 0.4.1
It come from "svn checkout http://gambatte-opendingux.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ gambatte-opendingux-read-only"
I modified it and put it in https://github.com/yoyz/emulator
In this version which works on opendingux for dingoo A320 the save file for lsdj is 128K so it's okay.
I have no issue with it.
I use lsdj 3.7.4
I have seen two different issue on this emulator :
- wave channel works really well for an emu, especially sample ;
- I think it's the S command on wave channel which sound different, not a problem at all, but it's a little weird and you could do great thing with it ;
- on the gameboy there is some kind of natural low pass filter which give a warm sound, gambatte sound is different, the sound is... More mettalic I think. I can't describe it. It's not a problem on some sound especially the noise channel. I like it on some song dislike it on other song.
I Will look at it. IIRC I had no problem saving multiple project on lsdj with gambatte.
It works, but I don't recommend using gambatte savestate AND lsdj save/load project at the same time.
it become a mess to understand because there is two different level of "save" which is annoying IMHO.
Could you send the version number of lsdj you are using ?
Check if it is not the demo version on this folder.
Remove the .sav in this folder. I don't know if BGB and gambatte understand the sav file the same way.

On my linux laptop and dingux it works pretty well.
It doesn't sound like a gameboy but definitely it's what i think the best emulator for GB.

Dingoo a320 + opendingux
Should support 64GB micro sdhc.
A linux player with a gui with mp3, ogg, flac should exist.
I've not tested but it might took less space than a psp and has a better battery.
But i repeat i have not tested this combo.
This guy made the finest lsdjmc2 ever.
It take more than a year to come but it's a great gear and really well made.
Too bad it's close now...

I have try it but like m4g they are not finished and unfortunately I don't see the source.
So I don't think anyone will build a newer version if they left both project as is.

For me nanoloop 2.x is not too limited.
I don't know if it use two DAC.
He don't have table, IMHO it is way more limited for a lsdj or piggy user.
You can't tweak all parameters on the fly, and it's boring.
You don't also have groove or I don't know how to use it.
I enjoy it because you can change pattern or mute mattern "on the fly" and I like this because it sound great and it is simple to use.
Three channel sound similar but sound good without too much tweak or effort.
Vibrato sound really well, envelope are simple but works well.
It is way way more simple to use than a standard tracker and it's not a toy.
Some people make song with it.
I can't make a song with only nanoloop 2.x but have difficulty to make song only with piggy or lsdj also.
I enjoy using a real synth an mpc and nanoloop to loop pattern.
It's the poor monomachine replacement

Gba could be a great platform for tracker.
Look at nanoloop 2.x it works so well.

Nanoloop 1.6 & 2.6 play pattern of 16 step.
It's not like apple or android version if you come from this world.
IMHO 2.6 is the best of the 3xnanoloop.
You should read the manual, it wille be easier for you.
I use sometime my qy70 and it works fine.
Don't know if qy10 is fine for midi and if it has enough storage memory.
