Hey guys! I'm looking to make an ambient pad for one of my songs, and I was wondering how the hell you could do that in famitracker, if at all xD

If not, anyone know of a good site for DPCM samples where I can maybe find where I'm looking for?

Thanks.

Well in that case, anyone know of a good VRC7 tutorial for Famitracker? I tried messing around with theinstrument editor but didnt suceed, and I need all the channels I can get for the chiptune version of FFVIII's "The Extreme" I plan on attempting.

All those acronyms are gibberish to me xD I'm very new to making chiptunes, so you'll have to explain what they mean.

Hey guys, just started using Famitracker, and was wonder, how can you add more channels? I know different modules have a different number of channels, but are they set for each module? Or can you add more per module?

Much appreciated.

Quite impressive! big_smile

Hey guys,

I was wondering, I know of LSDJ and Famitracker for producing chiptune, but I wanna make chiptune with drums that aren't 8bit. Are there any programs you can recommend then? Or should I simply make the song on LSDJ or Famitracker and then import it to another program to add the drums and such?

Also, which is better: LSDJ or Famitracker?

Hi! I am starting to produce music under the name Peekachoo. I currently have one very simple song on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lox19JdJgIE and uploaded here to CM.O: http://chipmusic.org/peekachoo/music/pilgrimage Check it out please!

I love 8bit music. Some of my favourite artists include SMILETRON, and Unicorn Kid - they're music is just so detailed. I am accepting recommendations for chiptune artists like them, so pm me with some recommendations please!

I'm also looking for advice on some programs to use. I know about LSDJ, but I just don't know where to get it or how to use it. Anyway, I'm looking forward to my time here on CM.O!

It worked! It's uploaded. Thanks for the help.

Check it out - it's called Pilgrimage.

Really like it! For a first tune, it's quite skillfully done. The opening is quite engaging, and then the melody is nice. Keep it up!

Definitely gonna download this big_smile

Hey guys, I'm new to CM.org, and I want to upload a chiptune track that I made in garageband, but it's in a .aif format, and that isn't accepted by chipmusic. Is there a way to convert it and possibly upload it?

Any suggestions?

P.S. I'm not sure if this is in the right subtopic.

Hey guys! I'm new to CM.org and here is my first 8bit track:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lox19JdJgIE

I wanna know what you guys think - I know my melodies are a little simple, but it mostly just emerged from a session with messing around with an 8bit plugin for garageband, and before I knew it, it became a full blown track.

Lemme know what you think, and I hope you guys like it!

EDIT: If you guys have any suggestions to make, I'd be glad to hear them! Also, I'm looking for advice regarding programs to use to make chiptune music. I know lsdj, but I'm not sure where to get it nor how to use it. Thanks guys.
