Chipo is more and more popular smile. It looks we will move from fun project to real project soon.

Yep. Different countries different prices. So we need to establish "Chipo prices" commision which will regulate retro hardware world wide smile.

Prices are not fixed and final. We need to do serious console - chipo exchange rate.
But remember when central "Chipo" bank will buy everything from internet auctions, second hands, markets situation can be one day as someone described "R8 audi" = atari falcon 030.
Atari falcon is very rare.  Actually you can have R8 audi for atari falcon 040 prototype...
Remember old Ferraris had prices about 5000 to 10000usd in early years.
And now you can buy same car model for 1 million usd.

Why PC engine vs NES???
http://www.ebay.com/itm/TurboGrafx-16-C … 460e26f33e
2 x PC engine for 600USD

So you can have 15NES for one PC engine. So my very first CHIPO value was not so far
from reality.

Nowadays you can buy Atari Falcon for 500-1000Euro.

"The Falcon was released in late 1992 and subsequently cancelled in late 1993 as Atari Corp restructured itself to focus completely on the release and support of its newest product, the Atari Jaguar video game console."

Only 20 000 was produced. For compare with NES:
Worldwide: 61.91 million
Japan: 19.35 million
North America: 34.00 million
Europe & Australia: 8.56 million[

So yes one day you will buy Falcon for brand new AUDI supercar price. In 2030 or something like that...

This computer was produced only for 1 year...

As I said. Prices in first post was for illustration. We need to make serious price research to get
exact values. Homecomputers and old game consoles are like supercars or old wine or paintings.
Their prices will rise. But gold prices will not rise so dramatically. You can dig gold when you will find new reserves (antarctica, under ocean). You can dig gold from asteroid. But you can not manufacture original ATARI 130XE again or C64. Thats very hard to do. Only when you are billionaire as Bill Gates...
You can buy all that patents, documentations, IC chip factories, case design, logo trademarks etc etc...

So Chipo makes sense...

This is just idea, brainstrorming for fun. Yes prices can be changed. Anyways it can be done!

Hmm what about establish alternative currency for chipmusic and pixelart community???
It will be currency re-bound/linked to real computer hardware (so no gold or silver).
Old computers and consoles prices are rising so currency will rise too.

Why Chipo??? It is inspired by Euro currency or proposed Amero currency.

Banknotes:
10000 Chipo = 1 x Atari Falcon 030 (Ultra Rare) or Sam Coupé / Commodore 65 prototype (Very Rare)
5000 Chipo = 1 x Panasonic Turbo R (or Sharp X68000)
2500 Chipo =  1 x Amiga 1200 or Amiga 3000 / Amiga 4000 and CD32
1000 Chipo = 1 x PC - Engine, Turbo Grafx, Turbo Express
500 Chipo = 1 x Amiga 500, Amiga 600, Amiga CDTV, Atari 1040STE, Atari MEGA STE, PC286/486
100 Chipo = 1 x Atari 800XE, 65XE, 130XE, 800XL, C64, C128, ZX Spectrum, Atari 7800, Atari 5200
50 Chipo = 1 x Sega Megadrive, Sega Genesis, Sega Nomad, SNES, DS, DSLite, DSi, PSP, PSPVita
20 Chipo = 1 x NES or Sega Master System and Atari 2600

Coins:
10 Chipo = Gameboy, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Pocket, GBA, SP, Micro
5 Chipo = FDD Drives, monitors, Flash Cartridges (USED),  IC chips for repair, power supply
2 Chipo = Atari/Commodore Joystick, Sega Gamepad, NES/SNES Gamepad etc etc
1 Chipo = Audio Tapes /never used/, cartridges
50 Cent Chipo = 5"25 DD floppy disks /never used/, FDD boxes, cartridge shells
20 Cent Chipo = 3"5 DD floppy disks /never used/, FDD boxes, cartridge boxes
10 Cent Chipo = original cases and keyboards
5 Cent Chipo = original cables
1 Cent Chipo = original screws

Why? When we will create "Chipo Bank" and "Chipo Bullion Depository" place (stock house) where will be all computers and game consoles located (in excellent and secure condition). We will have enough real HW for future use. So we will withdrawal from the market all 8bit, 16bit game consoles and
computers (ebay, web auctions, electronics second hands, bazaar markets etc etc).

And when you will need new computer or game console you will just go to "Chipo Bank"
and change "Chipo Money" for real NES or GAMEBOY etc etc etc...

PS: It can be nice pixelartist project...

Nice I think you can make chiprock hybrid... It will be cool!

Jared what subgenre you was composing before chipmusic...?

8 like 8bit rules to get sucessful...
1.) Compose original and fresh music. And be best in your subgenre (listen to inner-self melody).
2.) Use video networks (youtube, vimeo, dailymotion) and let video users use your music in their videos..
3.) Use that ugly sharing services (share, torrent).
4.) Use social networks and make parties for your social network page fans.
5.) Let another artist remix, cover or sing over your songs.
6.) Always support your local town music scene, than state or country where you live.
7.) Make stupid dance moves to your videos like "Gangam Style" or "Harlem Shake".
8.) Alway enjoy your self and your music. Dont dream about fame. But dream about have more fun.
