I think what you really need to do is create a 1/4" cable that on the end has an NES controller port. If you look at the NES controller port it has 7 plugs. This backs up your statement that anamanaguchi dont use 8 stringed guitars as the NES could only accept 7 strings through the controller port (hardware limitations of the era). Simply take a 1/4" cable and cut off one end of it and strip back rubber. Next do the same with the NES controller. Grab your multimeter and test which wire connects to which port as this is important. Solder them together and youre done. Sounds like you have a 1/4" in on your NES already, those are the harder models to find now a days. Basically that audio in will bitcrush your guitar and play it back through the DPCM channel! You could even hook up a mic to it for some retro sounding vocals. Best of luck!

Do you know how it affects the sound quality? Would LSDJ sound any different on the virtual boy or would it just be a weird thing to do?

I'm curious about this too. I thought the virtual boy had 5 wave tables and a noise channel.

yyyyyyeeesssssssss

I tried something recently that ended up working for me. I also had a lot of projects and hobbies but was having trouble making progress on any of them. I ended up setting aside days of the week that would restrict me from working on certain ones. So, monday, for instance, would be a no modern technology day and i would have to focus on the projects that didnt require that. Mainly, i would end up reading a lot more which was part of the goal. Tuesday would be music day which i would have to do one of the many music things i've been working on. And so on. It worked for me.

I suggest instead, that you visit Kitsch's site and grab some parts to mod your next gameboy if you plan to continue peddling your wares here.

THIS LOOKS AWESOME. i hope you have a CRT going in there instead of an led

Grammatically, you do not effect anyone. Perhaps his words affected people instead.

put me down for 2 of them if its not too late. Also new labels for both and an lsdj label would be sweet big_smile

damnit, I was going to do the Buy It Now option for 250 so no one else could get it but now it is removed? I don't even want to risk out on losing in a bid war. ugh, waited too long.

I'd really like to enter but I don't see the drop down that is supposedly in that link.

I also tend to be a perfectionist so not a lot of my songs are up to my standards.

You just described 99% of my songs. This happens to me a lot and I am left with many unfinished tracks. I find there is no sure fire way to get the creative juices flowing again. Sometimes i will listen to a selection of my unfinished works as i sit down to write and which ever one my brain starts auto filling in I work on. Sometimes this doesn't happen or I have a deadline so I have to push myself to finish something. Usually those come out better for some reason.

It sounds like you are drawing power from the gameboy in addition to the USB. Go back and check that your solder points are correct on the gameboy.

thats not even the real stuff though....and here i thought i was milking my cat like an idiot this whole time
