i dont think hes saying it produces no original music or ideas anymore, maybe just that dwelling on these sort of things is counterproductive in regards to creating new and original works
also 9-heart: re-read the topic again.. its "startled" not "started" and peter has been active in this scene since before 95% of the current scene knew shit existed, so i doubt he needs help getting started.. i mean, fucker helped found pulsewave and has played blip (i mean fucker in the nicest way possible )

i'd be all for this scene shifting towards album releases vs single releases (or "albums" that are basically just a compilation of unrelated tracks), thats generally the stuff i prefer to listen to

I get it, you're trying to lull me into a sense of complacency.
on the other hand, it makes me want to set things on fire. big things.

pssh, we always have to pay attention.. though this is a good idea, as long as we dont completely give up our chance to post nonsense and/or regrets about blip ending

Re: When Pop Superstars Flirt With Chip (79 replies, posted in General Discussion)
i guess the boards being slanted towards artists makes sense naturally though, since we aim more towards aiding musicians more than the social aspect... this topic is fair enough, again though i don't feel those tracks are particularly chip (my analog synths do sqaure waves)...we probably have a good number of regular non-registered fans who visit the site but dont really want to talk to us weirdos (totally a fair call)

Re: Where did you get your first gameboy for music making? (53 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
But what if I want to play gigs and stuff. Would I need to mod it then? Also, would you recommend modding it yourself or buying it pre-modded?
not really needed for gigs either...backlight can be helpful, but you could always just use a gba sp live instead or use a nuby or light boy to keep it lit...or a desk lamp, doesnt really matter...the prosound can be helpful live mostly if you are using it with other audio hardware with much higher output levels (when i used a korg esx-1 with a dmg live, it was pretty much required, less important with my current setups)
