you guys realize trolling is more specific than just being an asshole right?
there does seem to be a lot confusion about that lately
with open comps, it's important to not just release every entry (unless is something like the hexawe compos).. the nanoloop2008 comp, i set a limit that the comp couldn't go longer than 80 minutes, and my goal was to try and show a diverse range of nanoloop's capabilities.. as a result i got maybe 10-12 more songs that didn't make the comp and sometimes it was just because i had a better example already of the same sort of sounds or song-type... but i feel like the willingness to just say no to the handful of songs you get that just don't fit can make a comp way better
and make sure you have the .net 2.0 framework installed, saw that's one of the pre-reqs for this software
and some of those other comps you listed were also doing something sadly absent in most chip comps: they were organized behind closed doors and actually curated... the organizers chose who they wanted on it and asked if theyd submit a track... too many open call comps happen in this scene and are done with little to no quality control
Yeah, seemed to Work for me on XP fine
also, posted on facebook.. hopefully one of the guys in that downloaded it a year or so ago still has install files somewhere on a hard drive so they can upload it (saw a bunch of my friends in that thread)
edited your thread title for you, hope it helps find a working download link.. i always wanted to mess with it a little and never downloaded it myself, so i wouldn't mind a working link either
no, we don't need an off-topic section
^ the above still doesn't get you to a download, sadly
no, he's talking about LSVJ (something sidabitball had on his site) not LSDJ... seems sidabitball's whole site is down right now
admit it, you just posted so we could see your avatar again
i should upload it sometime, but i did an improv nanoloop jam with calbee & albino ghost monkey like 5 years ago that was below 10 BPM... wrong notes were fucking brutal
